The Bodies of the Young are not Their Own By Name Course Instructor Institution Location Date Drawing from fantasy in terms of dreams a transgendered child Bailey who is mostly interested in wearing dresses but he is a boy. So the child will every night dream of wearing dresses. These are where the story of 10,000 dresses he dreams of comes in comes in. Dennis also is another boy who decides to put on a dress to satisfy the curiosity of missing his mother since she divorced his father when she was only seven years. These two stories indicate that children at their tender age have no identity and they are still flexible to adopt any kind of gender. The two children are not feeling ashamed of wearing dresses in public thus they view it as fun. From the 10000 Dresses, Her parents recognise her as a boy and they get angry when Bailey tells them that she wants to on dresses. Her elder brother nicknames her the gross purposely to offend her. Marcus Ewert, the author of the text, shows that bodies of the young are not their own. This statement can be attributed to the fact that most of them don’t appreciate their original identity and they may want to look according to their perception, for example, these two boys who want to wear dresses. Although Bailey is transgender she is young and sees herself as a lady even though the parents keep telling her that she is a boy. Soon enough Bailey meets a woman in the streets named Laurel whom she accepted the desires of Bailey about wanting to wear dresses and commits to make her dresses. Tentatively Laurel understands that Bailey is a child who is not sure of her body and wants more exploration in life. She agrees up to her plea and makes dresses for her even though she is recognised by people as a boy. (Ewert, 2011). This show that bodies of the young ones are not of their own because parents tend to help them understand their identity which interferes with their esteem. Bailey is recognised as a boy but from the picture, she looks beautiful just like the other ladies. From the picture, it is difficult to recognise whether she is a boy or a girl. She is able to perfectly portray the characters of both men and female in different contexts that are she when in dresses she is a perfect lady when in trousers he looks a perfect man Bailey has been recognising as male since at the birth, but the text uses reference of her using the female pronouns excepting in direct quotes which are important in the transgender floor. Most of the transgender humans become conscious of their sex status at child age or at young ages. Some young ones identify as opposite gender than the gender they are recognised at the birth. According to Alegria 2016, it is always better for parents to adopt the preferred gender by their children and assure them, unconditional love. For children like Bailey who are aware deeply who they are, the complex section is often creating around them conscious of their needs and identity. Children like Bailey feel their bodies are not their own. The children book story of “the Boy in the Dress” by David Walliams is imperative on bodies of the young are not their own. It is the story of a twelve-year-old boy called Dennis and his 14-year-old brother, John. The parents of the boys got divorced long ago when they were still young. The boys remain under the guardian of their father, who decide to comfort by eating after they divorced. Dennis plays nice football. He usually feels comfortable when he sees his mother’s yellow blouse in a photograph. One day Dennis sees the same kind of dress on the page of the magazine and decides to buy the copy of the magazine. His father becomes furious when he found the magazine. His elder brother John jokes him by nicknaming him, Denise. One day at school Dennis was arrested for kicking the football ball through the window and while he was in his detention he met a young girl called Lisa. Lisa was the most fashionable and prettiest girl in school. She invites Dennis over to her apartment and dresses Dennis up with ladies clothes. This is the first incident which shows that Dennis was not appreciating his young body and he wanted to look like a girl Young kids would wish to be seen in a certain dress code different from their colleagues. These makes them feel unique from other and this satisfies their needs Dennis annoys his French tutor by mimicking her French accent. Dennis kicks the ball, slips and he is recognised as the boy. It makes him be expelled for cross-dressing. He goes to important football tournament and he is encouraged by fellow teammates to wear the dress. In that connection, young children will feel satisfied when others appreciate their preferred outlook even if it’s strange (Grogan, 2016). . Dennis meets Doris who also like cross-dressing who was called Mr Hawtrey in Raj’s kiosk. They threaten to expose of Mr Hawtrey’s habits if Dennis is not reinstated back in school. At the end of the story, family comes to order and Dennis and Lisa remain friends. This show through the act of Dennis wearing the dress brought good things to family and everyone enjoys when Dennis wearing a dress even Raj and his dad. This show that the bodies of the young are not their own. Dennis bring out a perfect outlook in his preferred gender. Young people tend to produce the best from what they are interested in such as dress code (Tsaliki, 2016). In most cases young people tend to value thinness for instance girls at the age of 9-18 will avoid growing fat and therefore they have the perception that thinness with classy and flawless faces makes them look nice. On the other hand boys tend to look muscular tall and physically fit with an idea that they earn status among other peers. According to Sigmund Freud a psychoanalytic theorist said the young children are dominated by Id a personality trait hence their consciousness tend to release uncontrolled impulses towards their outlook. Also, children story No, David! By David, Shannon is art story which shows that the bodies of young are not their own. When author David, was aged 5 years, he wrote a story about himself of a little child who broke all the rules set by his mother. He masticated with his open mouth full of food, he usually jumped on the equipment and also broke his mother’s jug. His mother usually tells her No David! When David was always about the problem, he normally says No it’s not his fault but it was an accident. Not matter the situation David always gives reasons or complaints. Soon he realises that habit of always giving reasons was making feel bad and saying that usual sorry satisfies him. This proofs our point that the bodies of young are usually not their own. The style used is that David tells his floors with imaginative pictures, vibrant. Also working with paints, he makes characters and settings that illustrate and widespread the story be told. His arts are beautiful, and the outcomes can be mischievous, funny, ironic, spooky, serious and sensational.). Another story which shows that the bodies are not their own is “the astonishing adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl” by author Lyga Barry. Things are getting worse and worse for the comic geek who is only 15 years old Donnie, also called the Fanboy. He being bullied daily in school. And in a home his are parents are separated and his newly mother is also pregnant with the baby. The list of friends he prefers to have are far away from the school he is schooling and keeps even getting bigger, he only friends, for now, is Cal is also becoming bored with sports other than comic books. Donnie has much equipment that assists him in his severe struggle with high school education. He usually carries the bullet in his pocket which acts as a security. But also the thing is that makes him through is the novels with a graphic he is working on. He is convinced in his heart that if manages to show his works to popular Bendis he will sign and get even a ticket to town. He continuously deals with struggle, Donnie again starts going through agony. In the class of gym, Mitchell keeps stamping him in his arm again and again. Nobody notices the act but the only flash of black and white from the benches. Suddenly Donnie gets support from Promeathe387 asking why he keeps punching him. Promethean is Alan Moore comic article character which gets Donnie attention. They then met at playing after the school. Promeatha387 is nicknamed Goth Girl who usually wears all black and also has black dyed hair. Her face was so pale that Donnie doesn't know what to compare with. In short, she was so beautiful that Donnie admired her. She calls Donnie Fanboy because of his taste in funnies and has an influential personality and a speech that is low, defensive and sardonic. Fanboy begins spending a lot of time with the Goth Girl who has something common now that his friend Cal. Goth Girl openly shares her opinions and views about the world. She even encourages Fanboy to pursue his graphic novel. In the end of all, the association with the Goth Girl assist Fanboy figure out his dreams. (Lyga, 2007). This story is a good with raw and heart emotions that challenge serious issues real teens faced currently. The characters in the novel play a role that is alive. Fanboy voice is sarcastic, strong and hilarious. This story shows that the bodies of young are not their own because despite the fact the Fanboy is being hated and bullied by other students the Goth Girl liked him and even advise her to pursue his dreams. The two are both young and other students who also hate him for nothing. The story has employed some style like figurative language which is hyperbole. Hyperbole is used when the FanBoy is describing the Goth Girl that her face was pale, that he cannot even compare to chalk or liquid paper, her eyes were so brown stamps, twisted mouth and the rings makes the scorn wider. Another story is the about two transgender children. Jessica and Lily which are not their real names are bound to the house full of energy, chattering and giggling away as they carry toys. The two friends which are eight and six years old are delighted to be each other company as they remove their stuff into the ground. Both ladies revealed the names of the dolls. One exception is that both ladies were born boys. With some years they preoccupied anything linked to girls like dolls, jewellery, girl names, and dresses. When playing they do nothing that shows that they are boys. Lily dresses like a girl that is a black blouse adorned with pink flowers while Jessica is also dressing like the lady she has a pink top. They were like girls in everything they do. According to their parents’ reports from the previous ages both were aware of their gender. But in times they continuously became unhappy with their real gender and were haggard to dresses and toys like that of ladies. They were stressed about being opposite gender which is boys. Lily says that she finds live as a boy would be distressed but she feels better for being a girl. Both children looked adamant. Parents say too had thought it might be a section that they will grow out of it. Jessica explains that life of being the boy is frustrating that she does not feel that she could fit in. All the boys in the school thought that she was a girl and was not allowed by boys to use their toilets same to girls. She recalls that once in a dinner she screams and shouts at a certain lady who says to her good boy. (Victoria, 2015). From the story, we can point out that the bodies of young are not their own. Since despite the fact that the two ladies were born boys they rejected their gender and only wanted to be girls. They were still young when they did that. Everything they do reflect girls action they reject their bodies and wants to be another gender.
