Sport and GenderThese findings hold not only to the middle-school girls, but also college-aged girls. In this case, self-confident plays a significant role in determining whether a girl will participate in games or otherwise. Accordingly, just a few girls will participate as they consider sport prevalent among men. They find it hard to participate as the society has already demarcated sports as male’s affair. According the role of social convection has prevented women in participating in male dominated atmosphere.

A weaker version that explains these finding is that the behavior is stipulated by biological universal factors.According to my schools website, games participated by males takes an esteemed position as compared to the other gender. In this case, the male athletes are highly regarded that their women counterpart. This is as a result of the belief that games participated by women is not very thrilling. As a result, they attract a small fun base and hence they are disregarded by the administration.

This discrepancy in participation clearly shows that a lot of work is yet to be done in bridging the gap between the two genders. It is notable that some people believe that some roles can only be best done by a certain gender. In this case, the society should carry the blame because they are prejudiced and inclined to a given gender, Bryant, T. (2009).According to other school’s websites on the same issue, gender inclination is common. More men are physical in sporting activities compared to the other gender.
