Reading Response A recent tide of modern feminists is taking advantage of technology in an effort to confront stereotypes and establish change. This change involves a new stance and perspective of the female gender through pop culture and new media. I believe the topics of digital feminism and pop culture should be covered in class. Digital feminism and pop culture are distinct in terms of origin, but also share a special relationship in terms of their influence on the contemporary woman (Rich 25).

Discussing digital feminism and pop culture will help determine if these digital methods actually affect deep-seated positions.Digital feminism differs from other works in traditional literature because it stresses the effect of the postfeminist Goth era (Rich 27). The class can approach this topic by dividing it into three key sections. These sections are introduction, script, and conclusion. Potential supporters of digital feminism in class can encourage others to view this topic from a unique angle.

This group can question the current status of overall feminism. From here, the discussion can grow to addressing its relationship with pop culture and the digital era. Such discussion will source their facts from different but dated texts and journals on digital feminism and pop culture (Rich 27).Link to article http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jun/01/activists-feminism-digital2.
