 In order for men to fulfill the role that society expects of them, do women have to be suppressed? In the modern society there are still many prejudices and patterns of behavior, which we have to follow. Men and women turn into robots, which are programmed for certain type of behavior. They lose their energy and power as well as the love towards each other.  The roles of men and women in the society are usually predefined since childhood: a man should be superior and a woman should be inferior. The efforts of modern feminists bring some results, but these results lead to the situation in which the roles of men and women are confused and undefined. We appear in difficult undefined situation: if women gain more rights, men feel themselves suppressed and if men want to feel stronger, women feel that their rights are violated. The question is how to find a balance. First of all, the main reason of such misunderstandings is hidden in our childhood. We all are born free of patterns. All the children are born full of energy. They are happy just because they live, they are full of love, which the world is based on. That is why children are so active and lively. They live in the unity with the world. This happens until the adults start putting this stream in some frames, which are suitable for them. They want to overlap the current of this stream, because they think that it would be safer for them and for a child. They are sure that it is dangerous to be free, moreover, it is indecent. Adults worry about the opinion of neighbors and relatives if they let their child stay as he is. Other people would judge them, they would demand from you to put your child in certain frames and make a decent person out of him. And when he becomes serious and cold like them, they would say that now it is ok and you managed to bring up your child successfully. The society does not want us to be alive and free. Patterns predefine the destiny of men and women. A future man is convinced that he should suppress a woman. When the boy is born, his parents start telling him: you must. The suggestions vary depending on the conditions a boy is growing up in. Parents usually say: you should be strong, you should not cry. He starts to hide his tears, his weaknesses. However, no person can be strong in everything. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and if we do not accept our weakness, if we deny it, we become even weaker and our strength gets ugly forms. A man is convinced that he should suppress women and female energy inside of his soul. Both men and women have female and male energy as this creates harmony. But a man suppresses female energy inside of him, thus his male energy can’t function normally. Such suppression begins from games boy and girls play. “The Latino community of my childhood had clear expectations for each gender: Males made decisions, and females played supporting roles. My brothers and I used to play war with the neighborhood kids. Each child was assigned to a team to prepare for battle. As the only girl, I was always sent to collect ammunition (red berries from nearby trees)” (Sandberg & Chávez). When the girl is born, she is convinced that she should be inferior and subordinate, that she should serve men. Or on the contrary she is taught that she should not rely on men, but to take care of herself. When she is grown up, she appears in full dependency or completely ignores her female energy trying to live like a man. The second variant happens more often and it is not surprising. During many centuries men were suppressing women making them slaves, making them serve men and only tried to use women not even considering them to be human beings. Now the situation completely changed and women took the initiative and became leaders. They turn into wolves out of sheep. Men in this situation had to turn into weak kitten. Here we also see the violation of natural energies. This can make happy neither men nor women. The society expects us to fulfill definite roles. The society defined the niche for everybody and if you want to leave its borders feeling uncomfortable, you will be denied by the society and it will make you come back immediately. And if you do not want to come back, you will be denied completely. And the only way is to make a sacrifice, because the society says that you should behave in correspondence with what politicians, the church, your husband or wife, your boss at work tell you. We depend even on the opinion of people we meet in the street. Men are afraid to be like girls and this fear is cultivated by the society, especially in the eastern countries. In Chinese kindergartens there are special activities introduced for boys to “make them masculine”: “We would like to introduce some the best traits in men valued by Chinese tradition, such as bravery, the courage to overcome difficulties and the sense of responsibility”. For girls, we hope to cultivate their gentleness, carefulness and grace” (FlorCruz). Men learn how to suppress women, because they are taught to suppress female energy inside of them. This begins in their childhood, when they are taught to play male games. In reality the correspondence to the patterns of the society is too serious sacrifice. People deprive themselves of the only possible happiness: to stay the way they are. And they do that in order to satisfy other people.
