LEGALIZING SAME SEX MARRIAGE Thesis ment: Legalization of same sex marriage or (gay and lesbian marriage) is a threat to the building of strong families which are pillars to building of better society. Introduction Marriage is one of the long debated issues. It has taken various dimensions that have emanated from different diverse groups. Some of these groups include people in political fields, religious and group activists in various organizations of human rights and freedom. In all arguments which have been put forward, there is a major portion contributing to the support of the marriage of the same sex to be either granted equality as the heterosexuality marriages. Since early days of the past centuries, few states were fighting for the legalization of the gay and lesbian marriages. There was paramount work done in developed states mostly United States and those in the European continent. The initials perception for those who advocated and struggled to fight for this abhorrent practice was short sightedness of the issue several consequences. This is because most of them focused on the materials based on the biblical issues without the considerations of the surrounding factors of the family institution as better start point for healthy and prosperous communities of the nation. Their basement on the religious issue was personal to involve, getting in the different religions which was one way of gaining access of banning the laws which acted as barrage to fulfillment of the detestable practice. Then, as it has always been, the repercussions of every action are felt after sometime, hence the fulfillment of the adage which say "time is the best prophet of the future". (Symons, 1980) Gay and lesbian marriage brings about abnormal practices which were unheard in our traditions and already established society. It is not that the people of the old and new generations are in the state of objecting the change. But under the practices which have already been demonstrated throughout the world are alarming due to the use of such homosexually kinds of marriages. Gay marriages have rooted cultures which display non-commitments to the established ways of living. The era before the coming up of most arguments that lead to the founding of the gays and lesbianism, families were mostly established under the heterosexuality mode of marriage. The old set of heterosexuality was more binding to the building of families which were ever long lasting and welcoming. The rapid increase on religions and political as well economic trade with the globalization era is the ones which have brought with them to ever alarming issues on the marriage institutions. (Leach, 1978) The heated debates on liberty for women and for marriage has resulted to the allowing of people to do things on the own will. This has greatly ended up making many families on the contemporary society to have a misunderstanding of marriage values and purposes. As most people would think and consider marriage, most of the early people viewed marriage as means which was set to for particular goal. The family was highly valued as it created a place which the two married people would build one another. Basically, religious studies research and through the biological scientific work which have already been disseminated, there is clear evidence that neither man nor woman can claims that he/she is perfectly complete. This study reveals that they all have certain percentage which is complemented by the partners in which they get involved. The complementation of the two people who get involved in the marriage issues is quite unique. This of course involves a number of ways which are not limited to the spiritual, physical and even psychological means. (Rosenblatt, 2005) Legalization of same sex marriages would thus make individuals to get into gay and lesbianism. This would actually invert the purposes of complementation on the wide studied field. The natural over turn of the marriages issues can be viewed as the source of the many problems which the global world is experiencing nowadays. This is prominently causing worries over those people where such same sex unions were once encouraged such as in Canada and other states. The lack of the opposite sex marriage which is viewed as a key for better family foundation is thus being disrupted. Following the disruption on the heterosexuality marriage which encompassed both monogamous and polygamous marriages in the early time, there are a lot of impacts which are correlated to the outrageous same sex marriages practice. For instance, past decades that date back to the years of 1990s and 1980s homosexuality impact was remarkable on most families' couples. From the historical examination of the introduction of same sex marriages, there was total disbelieve of how such change could bring problems to the couples. Homosexuality freedom that was granted under the constitution of laws in various countries gave people the opportunity of practicing the abnormalities within married men and women. During this epoch, most families were then faced with problems on their survival as couples with responsibilities. Enormous couples were reported to have ended up in divorce situation as their solution whereby they afterward engage on casual risky marriage of homosexuality. (Symons, 1980) Legalizing of same sex marriages is therefore an indication of granting of wide freedom to men and women which unnecessarily infringes the purpose of family commitment. This fact makes gays and lesbians seem to be couple persons whose aim is not commitment towards family goals. This is the cause of the association of partials homosexuality of such person. The purpose of family couples since human race began has increased in number as a result of procreation. When people engage their live in the homosexuality of same sex marriages, this cut their links leading them to the paths of bearing children. Although there are claims that there is a high increase of the world's population, and this is one way of controlling the population growth, it is well established that those people who practices such have the no desire of raising a family. In homosexual marriage, the married partners do not have the ability to attain their life goals bringing up children of their own. (Sarantakos, 1997) Legalization of the same habit to be practiced in a free environment would then magnify the situation out of bearing children which they would be taken care of by others. The taking of responsibility by the lesbians and gays in the genuine manner can be quite plausible act in moral and ethical perspective. However, it is also surprisingly that it results to child trafficking. Due to the moral degradation among the young people, some individuals who are underage are getting involved into sexual activities which lead to the bearing of children. Some develop within themselves the idea that there are many organizations in which they can dispose their children for Care. Hence, they endure all the problems they come across with the hope of disposing the child to these groups. This means that homosexuality unions are some organizations which are targeted by such individual. So, legalizing of same sex marriage is socially detrimental issue which would uplift the bad and irresponsible child bearing within the youths as more people become gays and lesbians. (Sanday, 2001) Homosexuality marriages (gay, lesbianism) are kind of coupling people of the similar sex. As far as I have urged in the above statements, marriage is successful with the involvement of two persons whom are dissimilar for complementary purposes. On the same emphasis, it is therefore noticed that the lives of children who are brought up in a homosexual relationship are uncivilized than those children who grows up under the heterosexual family backgrounds. The complementarily of the family couple then extents its boundaries from the two individuals who fallen in loved to fruits of the love affairs. This is because each of the two individual have a paramount role in building up the character of the child. Most of the lesbians or gays would adopt the child only to provide the child with the material needs and nothing more. The real parental love which is exercised by those people who take the responsibilities of nurturing their own born child is not within homosexuality parents. This is because homosexuality is more fully a self satisfactory oriented character. The parents would therefore have little time to share their vision and aims with the child other than utilizing the opportunity to satisfy the live passionate and not the child's passion. What transpires from such self aligned matters is that, few considerations are put while the couples are transacting their activities. Finally, the child imitates the crooked behaviors of the uncaring parents which are threatening issue to the future of family and society institutions. (Sarantakos, 1997) Same sex marriages have much problem on the generation of children brought up by people who are homosexually involved in the marriage of such nature. Marriage of same sexes is not good enough to the child adopted and brought up in such families. Child safety and security is very important. The ideas of bring up child which are not your own blood as a result of homosexuality results to loss of parent security by the children. Homosexuality family marriages are portrayed to emerge from the strong feeling of love. Those people who get into it says they feel match committed to satisfy rather than letting it to pass. This implies that these are a person who lacks enough self control mechanism of their feeling. In a similar case, the uncontrolled feeling would normally make the coupled individuals to use the young under their care as sex object. This will therefore be an offence to the child who might have little to do as per the situation. The offending acts which are yielded through such parental acts would ultimately leads to unstable child mind reasoning. The decisions of the children in the particular circumstances would change the course of acting according to his moral understanding of nature. When the diversion of the character is induced through the intervening by adult behaviors, the live of the young individual becomes a hard rock for change to the rightful ways in future. (Sanday, 2001) With the homosexuality remaining a major debate, it is also significant to consider the factors of economy on the family based environment of the heterosexuality marriage and homosexuality marriages. There is high impact with the sort of homosexuality marriages which seldom acts on commitment ways to just a few partners in the live. First and foremost, the practices of random homosexuality marriages where marriages have just lasted for few hours, day and years have normally and greatly affected the growth of family resources as well as countries product productivity. This is because most people would get in same sex marriage opting not to get children to care. Furthermore, the use of legal marriage on homosexuality is that there rampant shift operation with the diversity communities and individuals to satisfy human feeling pressuring for additional costs. The interplay among numerous people in uncommitted ways is giving higher chances for the transmission of deadly diseases. This would obvious give the governments of various states additional burden of taking cares of those elites whose lives are affected by such ailments. From the normal ways, the practices of homosexuality have been depicted within the primitively developed biological organisms which are far from human level of development. This means that legalizing same sexes marriage is diminishing our power of reasoning, where people can also marry other animals may pose threat to contracting other animal diseases. (Symons, 1980) Marriages have been in existence for very long period in diverse forms which ranged from monogamous to polyagamous state of marriages and polyandry. These have founded very stringent background of stable families which have builds up responsible men and women. The legalization of same sexes marriages has per the status quos show that theses homosexually is not the least step to take in anticipating a nation whose firm grounds are bases on family. This is evidenced by the instability of couples which claims to have homosexuality marriages like the lesbians and gays practices in most states. The instability of the family actually occurs due to factors of commitments and freedom of choice. In addition, to the social detrimental factors and costs, the practice brings a lot of other problem on economic productivity and healthy care costs. (Rosenblatt, 2005) Reference: Sanday, P.
