In order to become a competent, experienced and a professional accountant, I decided to seek for admission in the distinguished MAcc program at the Ohio State University. Hopefully, this would assist me to achieve my personal and professional goals. I sincerely hope that my application will go through. In general, I tend to believe that MAcc program can help me achieve my short-term and long-term personal and professional goals. The short-term goal is the aspect of continuing with my graduate study in professional accounting. Through this, I would emerge as a qualified professional accountant with a CPA license. In long-term, I will make adequate preparations to achieve my professional career goals. To be precise, after the graduate program, I will seek an auditing and assurance service job in one of the Chicago’s extensive and highly rated Companies. After about five years of training, my vision is to launch a professional accounting firm in China. This is a firm that would offer professional accounting services, hence creating a bridge between China and the global society. All in all, acquisition of an Ohio State University degree will set a clear and proper basis towards the achievement of this ultimate vision as well as my career objectives. In particular, I believe that MAcc program will definitely help me towards the achievement of my objectives due to its outstanding reputation. It is well known for its competitive nature within Ohio State University and its surroundings. On the other hand, it has been ranked as the10th best accountancy institution in the entire nation as claimed in The CPA Personnel Report. Being one of the largest suppliers’ of accountancy professionals, it cultivates more accounting experts to the Big-Four CPA firms in Chicago than any other academic institution. Also, MAcc Program makes significant contributions to the achievement of my short-term goal. This is because it is designed to provide students with a strong support for passing the CPA examination. In addition, its geographical proximity to Chicago provides an impressive advantage. This is due to the fact that; it provides more opportunities for my personal experience in the real business environment. Acquiring an Ohio State University admission will also accord me with a higher chance of improving on my technical competence through interaction with highly experienced professors with abundant theoretical and practical knowledge regarding this field. For instance, professor Turner Patrick, with whom auditing is his area of specialty spent around 26 years in public accounting sector. I believe I will gain a lot from him since I am majorly interested in researching on the emerging business trends and innovations. Furthermore, the Ohio State University has a broad alumni network nationally and globally. Students can always have access to the entire faculty officials, staff, other students, as well as the institution’s executives. Listening and copying while improving on other people’s experiences can really improve on my networking and mentoring opportunities. Hence, I believe Fishers MAcc program will essentially grant me more opportunities to learn about real business, to develop critical and analytical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and proper communication skills. To achieve my career goals, I chose to study Bachelor of Science in Business Management. This is a broad Course with various areas of specialty including marketing, banking and finance, supplies management, as well as the accounting option that I am personally passionate to. So, I took a major in accounting option at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, which has recently been ranked among the Top 20 Undergraduate Accounting Programs nationally. I gained greater communication skills and practical usage of software technology such as Minitab and Peachtree. For instance, our group won an industry championship amongst 3000+ groups globally in a management class (MGT495) back in the year 2014. To put my theoretical knowledge into practice, I chose to participate in extracurricular activities. I managed to serve as a vice president of culture of ‘China America Business Organization’ (CABO), which is ranked among the Top 4 Business Organization in Miami University. Here, I was very eager towards engaging in various activities. At such a cognitive position, I managed to organize numerous cultural activities such as Chinese Festivals’ introduction events, which witnessed a very warm reception. I also analyzed and interpreted business data such as budget computation by use of the exec board to make future CABO plans. In addition, I also gained essential experience from actual field work through launching of my personal online cosmetic store in TaoBao (Chinas Largest E-commerce Company by Alibaba Group). This actually gave me a proper chance of learning how to manage a continuous supply chain, how to accomplish marketing plans, as well as the tactics for building an adequate and reliable relationship with my clients. Furthermore, my internship experiences within three public companies including Texas Instrument (TI) helped me to gain basic data synthesis skills as well as opportunities for promoting my technical competence.
