Texas Financial Funding of Public SchoolsKey information learnt from this article is that there are three main sources where Texas financial funding of public schools comes. The article shows that school districts gather finances from local, state, and federal revenues. However, finance gathered locally contributes the biggest percentage of the school finance in Texas. The highest of these revenue producers are local property taxes that account for a majority of districts local tax revenue.

What does it mean for me?The article has enlightened me on the issues concerning school finance in Texas. For example, now I know that every school district in Texas gets federal finances although in most situations the money attained do not cause much impact on the income of the district as significantly as the local tax revenue. Therefore, the information means a lot to me.Now what am I going to do about what I have learned?Through the information provided in regard to the school finance in Texas, I can make sound decisions concerning whether to join the district schools in Texas or not.

In addition, the article revealed that Texas has extra school districts comparing to any other state, and it is next only to California in regard to the number of students registered in its schools. I also learned that at present the school finance system of Texas is functioning as two separate systems: one system is based on the equalizing calculations of the foundation school program, and the other focuses on historical district funding stages commonly referred to as the target revenue system.
