A Study of Ethics Ethics is a division of axiology which is the study of importance or eminence, it is one of the most important divisions of philosophy, which endeavors to comprehend the temperament of morals to differentiate so as to, which is accurate to which is erroneous. The Western customs of ethics is from time to time known as moral philosophy. Ethics in simple language means knowing and scrutinizing the correct from incorrect or differentiating superior from dreadful. Culture Relativism: Relativism articulates the observation with the purpose by which the implication and importance of human viewpoint and the conducts include no unconditional allusion. Cultural relativism is a theory to facilitate a human being’s point of view and behavior that makes logic in stipulations of a person, whether a male or a female’s owns culture. The cultural realtivism theory was recognized as self-evident in anthropological study by a person known as Franz Boas in the 20th century moreover admired by Boas apprentice. In the 21st century the cultural relativism, is explained as the initiative so as to every civilization or cultural assemblage is on the way to be appraised on the foundation of ones own standards and custom of activities furthermore not on the foundation of those people of a different civilization or a dissimilar cultural assemblage. Cultural relativism, further pacts in the midst of more than principles, beliefs and ideals; more over it is according to Herskovits, (p. 52) “judgments of time and space and volume, differences in perception and cognition, as well as of conduct”, theory of cultural relativism merely has significance on crossways cultures furthermore not surrounded by a solitary culture. The culture is at present a traverse-cultural rule and moreover it is not an intra-literary rule. The solution provided in relation to the cultural relativism is correct according to the theory because it is basically the procedure as a result of which a way of life is erudite. The reason behind it is that to a great extent of a human being’s comprehension there is a propensity that is in the direction of the communally accustomed. According to the solution the fifty strongest men are those who have preference over the others and that is the way of life because the stronger people are given preference in the society over the weaker ones. A person’s thinking is determined by the social position and as being the strongest out of all of the other the position automatically becomes stronger and hence has predilection over the others. It is our societies customs and it is our culture by which the fifty men have the ability and the power over others by which they can go into the boat and go towards safety because men are inferior especially the stronger have more power over the weaker ones. Naturalism: Naturalism is often known as ‘definism’, which is a hypothesis in morals with the purpose that holds the ethical stipulations, which can also be defined in another way, the implication of ethical verdicts also is prearranged in completely non-ethical stipulations. Naturalism is the observation so as to that the ethical verdict articulates intention and with the intention of the fact that they can be condensed in the direction of a non-ethical verdict. This hypothesis of naturalism grasps so as to the gist of ethical proclamation, which can also be articulated devoid of utilizing ethical stipulations for example excellent, and accurate. Thus, ethical avowal turns out to be a type of shorthand, or functional short form, for alleges in relation to what in due course the non-ethical particulars are concerning a human being requirement or else needs. Naturalism cleaves to the metaphysical theory with the aim of the ethical particulars, which are the innate particulars, and epistemic notion that comprehension of ethical particulars is capable of being acquired from side to side of an experiential knowledge of assessment. The Naturalism theory implies that a compulsion of which a person were ignorant of, and after that not meaning to convene that responsibility. As a result within a state of affairs like where a human being may perhaps merely take action accurately as a result of a mishap, that is to say, by mistake. That would denote that the appropriateness of the work was not reliant on top of the purpose that conversant it. Other than this enslavement has been recognized. As a result a person is obliged not to comprise of compulsions, of which as a result they are ignorant. The hypothetical scenario which has been stated and the solution which has been given states according to Naturalism that the fifty men in that situation are naturally more powerful than the children, ladies and the older people and hence they can go onto their ways as they have to perform their duties if they are alive, like working or anything that relates to the worldly things. The fifty men had taken the opportunity which they were being provided which was they took it unintentionally because they knew by fifty strong men living it would affect the ethical society. As a result the fifty men are given more preference in relation to the other because it’s natural that a person who is strong can get his ways. Utilitarianism: Utilitarianism means useful and is a presumption of moral principles with the purpose of stipulating the quantitative and making the most of good outcomes intended for the inhabitants. Utilitarianism is also an outward appearance of ‘consequentialism’. The first-class thing, which is to be taken full advantage of, is more often than not known as contentment, enjoyment, or else predilection approval. Despite the fact that a number of utilitarian hypotheses may inquire in the direction of making the most of additional end results, these outcomes usually include a great deal to accomplish by means of the well being of the citizens or else animals. Utilitarianism hypothesis as a consequence appears to and sometimes fails to become aware of the human rights of minority assemblage. The theory may also sometimes pay no heed to the human rights of the people in a greater number. Happiness according to this theory is characterized seeing that taking the full advantage of enjoyment in addition to the reduction of ache. This outward appearance of utilitarianism cleaves with the purpose of what exactly is considered is the comprehensive contentment, the pleasure of each and every person and not only the cheerfulness of a few meticulous individual. The solution, which has been given according to utilitarianism, is correct because, this theory defines the fact, which promotes so as to those proceedings which are accurate and which convey on the subject of the best deeds done on the whole. The stronger men are more powerful and have power over the minority, which in turn makes them more happy and content with the fact that they are the ones being given priority over the others. Utilitarianism means that a great deal to be given the impression of being at, whilst making a decision of what is to be done. And at that time the most appropriate thing, which could be done, was to send the strongest men as they could do something, which would make the human rights more content. Deontological: Deontological means compulsion or responsibility furthermore it is a principled hypothesis clinging to the pronouncements that is supposed to be prepared exclusively or mainly by taking into consideration individuals sense of duty as well as the human rights of other people. Deontology denotes the continuation of the priori ethical responsibility, in auxiliary suggestive of the fact that the public has to live by means of enduringly definite main beliefs with the intention of not changing simply therefore in a transformation in the state of affairs. The majority of the important insinuation of deontology is that praiseworthy goals can never justify the immoral actions which means that ends do not justify the means. Deontological theory is straight forwardly in disagreement with the consequentialism because Deontological is a non- ‘consequentialist’ theory. There are various types of other ‘non-consequentialist’ theories, which are Intuition, Rationalism, Kantianism and Contractarianism. But all the theories have one thing in common which is the starting point for differentiating the accomplishment. The ethical evaluation of a deed by means of its category, devoid of demanding about its end results, is ‘non-consequentialist’ way of thinking. When a person articulates to facilitate that they have a duty to carry out or keep away from a particular kind of act, there are some features that can be identified with utilizing the equivalent of the ethically momentous like for example an occurrence of being dishonest or committing theft. Some proceedings are straightforward while a number of others are multifaceted. The solution stated in the ethical study denotes that the men were giving more preference because they have some duties to attend to later on and they are trying to resolve the dilemma which they are involved in, no doubt the others being there also should be given the authority but the fifty men are committing an immoral crime but then again they are doing it for the benefit of the nation and later on for the people they will be helpful to later on in their lives. The theory itself puts forward with the intention of the fact that inhabitants should live in a well defined ways and principal which indicate that the strongest men are more in use of the people later on and the country so they made a decision so let them go on the boat so that at least they knew that the strong men would lead to the destination and wont go through any trouble and in going through so much at least the people get out from the water are saved. Theory, which makes the strongest argument: The theory, which makes the strongest argument, is Utilitarianism because it stipulates the magnitude of making the most of the superior effects intended for inhabitants. It is an individual conduct to a certain extent at the same time by way of reviewing the proceedings of other populace or else actions, which encompasses the deeds which have before now have been carried out. Utilitarianism is a little in the direction of at where it can be given the intuition of being at when making a decision about what exactly to do. At that time as well the other people thought as well that the fifty strongest men were given the opportunity to go in the boat. The people’s purpose is the only object that was thought about and, because the end results were not to be recognized with confidence in anticipation of the pronouncement that had by now been made. Utilitarianism would furthermore have need of the non-direct contact of societal recognition of sadistic guiding principle that had headed for being taken in to contemplation which resulted in deciding the factor by the other people that the strongest men would be the ones and they were needed more and according to this theory which gives the most sound arguments that the strongest men should have been and were given the chance to go into the boat. Theory, which makes the weakest argument: The theory, which makes the weakest argument in this scenario, is Naturalism theory which means that a obligation of which a person were ignorant of, and after that not meaning to convene that responsibility but in this situation the people where not ignorant of anything and they knew they were not making a mistake and they knew what the responsibilities of those men would be if they survive. The theory also explains the in the end, righteousness and the accurate in ordinary and natural things and hence they are in due course the matter relating to the effects with the intention of being situated in the planet, consequently in other words we may say that this is not a worldly matter whose properties are to be discussed it is a scenario for which and idle answer were to be found rather than relating it to the things being situated in the world. It states as to what wide-ranging kind of effects, which are good, even though the situation totally out weighs the point, which is being stated in this theory, which is good or bad, is not stated in the situation because the point is about taking a decision, which they took by sending the strongest people on board. Conclusion: In concluding with the ethical study, what I think about the solution is totally wrong, why because of the fact that fifty strongest men who could do something even save them selves by fighting with the sharks are sent on the ship while the much needy who were suppose to go like the babies, who have much to see later on in life, children who have yet to see the world, pregnant women who are going to bring a new life into the world, the physically challenged who have yet to stand on their feet, and the elderly , who are the ones taken most care about, are the ones who should have been given priority over the strongest men and they should’ve been the ones who should have gone on the boat rather than staying behind. All the theories mentioned above are right in their own ways but they also state the fact that a person should perform good deeds with the people around them, which did not happen and the needier were left behind.
