1. Introduction4

This report identifies and discusses the impacts that climate change and environment on human health and ecosystem. A sustainable development model will be applied and discussed regarding the economy, environment, and society. Besides, adaptation model and theoretical underpinning will also be reviewed. This report aims at coming up with national strategies on how to tackle climate change.4

2.1 Defining Climate Change4

Besides, a chance to hand over to the future generations a healthier planet, fairer societies and more prosperous economies are also in the context of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development EU (2016) that set out a target of 40% reduction of greenhouse gas emission by 2030. However, the agenda sets out a long-term goal to put the world on track to reduce global warming below 2°C and above pre-industrial levels, which pursue efforts to limit the temperature rise to 1.5°C. Additionally, the aspiration of the 1.5°C goal was agreed to drive ambition that is more significant and to highlight the concerns of the most vulnerable countries, which are already enduring the effects of climate change (European Commission, 2016). However, Professor Plimer in Eggleton (2013) highlighted that natural forces are far higher than anything that humans can contemplate. Professor Pilmer was unwilling to accept that one of the processes of natural climate variation has emanated from the burning of fossil fuels that additionally has increased the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.6
