Insert Effect of income on car choice Background The major contribution to the greenhouse emission is the transport sector that runs on engine and fuel from gasoline. When the subject of income and the effects it has in terms of influences, it has in various aspects of the economic influences on human livelihood. Understanding the acknowledgement people have on cars and their preferences helps to predict the future with certainty and help in the preparation that comes with it. Asymmetries conditions that have occurred in the rate and path that falls into the adjustment to long run is a discussion pursued in the recent passed majorly. The variations arise normally with the differences in income and prices. The traditional dynamics in the market and way people finances shape up affect greatly the existence, which affects uniquely the demand in income and price levels (Steininge K w). As the income of persons goes high, they tend to opt for personal cars and travelling comes into their plans. When families do not have enough money the priorities for spending first look at the supplement for food, house rent and school fees. This way of spending contributes to the relationships that exist between the increase in the income level, the fuel prices and other commodities (.H.G). The outfits’ demands a research in the field to come up with relationships that hold based on actual data collected. Research questions 1. How many cars does your family have? 2. Procedure Survey design using the case study will be used. This design was adopted because it can be generalized to similar cases. It will also give an in-depth in the case in order to gain insight into large cases. I will also use a qualitative approach because I use questionnaires to obtain the data. Data collection To reduce suspicion and enhance co-operation I first seek permission from my institution and discussed with the target respondents. The prior visit provided a rough picture of the research expectation during the study visit. The researcher agreed with the respondents when the research instruments were to be collected. The filled documentation of the questionnaires were retrieved from the correspondence after three days. The basis of the research was preferences on cars, finances utilized and the emission level for that particular area. It was challenging to get data on the amount of emission in the air and the fuel burnt during transportation. It was also ensured that data measures on the level of emission was obtained from reliable sources; relevant bodies in charge of the environment and safeguard associated with it. Data processing To come up with the research recommendation from the study, qualitative analysis was utilized in the process. The systematic process ensured all aspects of the results collected are discussed from a standpoint of understanding the issues at hand. Coding of data was done, organization followed suit and analysing data using sophisticated tools known as SPSS. To present data, frequency tables were drawn with data obtained, pie charts were drawn, bar graphs derived in terms of percentages. Presentation The answers to the research questions, as elaborated at the beginning of the process, were all recorded in a table, and pictorial illustration in graphical form utilized. I used bar graphs to present the data below. Realize that families with more income levels use more on cars. This means an increase in the level of greenhouse emissions to the environment. People from the continent of Europe lead the preference of using cars followed by north America. The same research helps stakeholders in designing policies that govern the purchase, use of cars and fuel emission mitigation proposal. The division that arises due to gender variations illustrates that male have a stronger will and always utilise cars in their transportation. Increase in income levels means increase in transportation use and emissions that flow into the air. The middle class and economy class are the highest preferred access that utilise the use of cars in their life. As it stands, the more the middle-class number of people the more the number of cars in use on a daily basis. It will lead to the increased levels of carbon emission from the vehicle exhaust system. The revelation that more than 10% of the family income is utilized through the use of a car for family purpose or individual purpose relays the contribution people make when they use the cars in their daily use of transportation purposes. Conclusion In my conclusion, many cars fall into the group of the middle-class economy. They care about fuel economy and spend a lower percentage of their income on cars.it is evident that income affect the choice of car because an average income family can only afford a middle-class car. The poor people who are the majority population own premium cars which cause more pollution to the environment and global warming, in the long run. Suggestion for further studies Given the limited time of the study and the fact that it was carried out alongside course work the researcher had a limited scope and recommendations. It is my feeling that given time and a bigger target population will comprehensively bring out the ideal result of research. A research should be carried out to find out the effects of changes in prices and income on car and fuel demand and to find out the impact of income on consumer choices. The research that focuses on the social and economic aspect are well captured when target correspondents are well selected, and an oiled plan put forth. In addition, the use of online survey strategies will help to avert any inaccuracies and biases that result from using person interviewers. Moreover, results and the outcome of an online survey are instant. It is easy to subject the survey to statistical descriptive algorithms to come up with detailed analysis including graphical illustration on a real time basis. The approach will no doubt reduce the total time used in the accomplishment of project.
