So, in order to avoid its vulnerability, I would have to introduce new policies such as vulnerability analysis and strict compliance with standard building codes. When it comes to preparedness, I would have to come up with strategic planning measures such as the use of high-tech data protection policies to help in recovering crucial data in case any loss occurs. Moreover, my response to the flood would be the provision of the immediate rescue of the casualties, provision of humanitarian aids-food, clothes, healthcare and shelter to anyone who might be injured in the disaster (Haddow, Bullock & Coppola, 2011).

Lastly, I would recover the situation by implementing a short-term recovery plan involving data recovery, provision of medical care, grants, housing and compensating anyone for the losses suffered as a result of the disaster. If this is done as outlined, the effects of the disaster would not be felt for long because everything would be taken back to their normal conditions in which they were before the occurrence of the disaster.
