Extract of sample "Understanding Carbon Footprint"

The local issues related to waste in UAE include the lack of capacity by the country to identify, and develop projects that can be able to support carbon reduction progress. The other challenge is securing sufficient financing for these projects once they have been developed since the carbon footprint continues to increase (Ahmad, 2015).How can the three Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) help protect our environment in the United Arab Emirates? The 3 R’s can help in protecting the environment through minimising the waste that goes to the environments by application of the processes involved in those processes.

These processes also ensure there is a reduction of the usage of materials which generate waste and ultimately reduce the space used for landfills.Give examples when appropriate (related to question 4).Reducing – this can involves the reduction on dependence on carbon fuels and adoption of green energyReusing - ensuring materials which can be used for a second time are not thrown away but kept for other purposes like empty containersRecycle – materials like metals and plastics can be taken to recycling plants and recycled to manufacture other products
