This has simplified the manner in which businesses is able to conduct their daily affairs and looks towards presenting the different information differently. There still exist a lot of gaps and areas which when worked on will help to improve the relevance of cloud computing and will increase the relevance of cloud computing in different fields. This will provide different inputs and will help to identify the mechanism through which the entire process of cloud computing is being used in the development of business solutions to the clients. Motivation The motivation that has led towards conducting the research is that it helps to understand the different directions which will help to increase the relevance of the use of cloud computing and will provide added advantage to the business. The topic of cloud computing includes a lot of aspects and different areas which has been narrowed down and looks towards working on a particular area. It will help to understand the manner in which cloud computing will help in reducing carbon emission which is a topic which is gaining relevance due to increase in global temperatures. Looking the use of cloud computing will help to provide an opportunity which will help to understand the manner in which cloud computing will help in different directions and will thereby help to broaden the learning horizon. This will thereby ensure that the applicability of cloud computing in the field of carbon emission which will provide maximum efficiency and will help to ensure that the carbon emission is controlled to a large limit. Research Question The research looks towards presenting the manner in which cloud computing can be used in the field of carbon emission and the manner cloud computing can help organizations to control carbons. This thereby looks towards presenting the manner in which cloud computing will help different organizations to ensure that they are able to control carbon emission and ensure that businesses are able to abide by the requirements of carbon emissions prescribed by the government and look towards controlling emission in the future. Cloud computing will thereby enable different firms to be able to ensure the business are able to identify the underlying reasons through which carbon emission can be controlled. This also looks towards ascertaining the manner in which tacit and implicit knowledge can be used to in the field of cloud computing so that carbon emission is controlled by the business Literature Review Cloud computing is considered as one of the greenest method of controlling carbon footprints and is widely adopted by organizations (Stephen, 2009). This has made more and more organization look towards integrating it in their work environment. Studies have shown that data collection centers contribute around 0.5% of the total electricity that is produced and releases carbons which results in an increase in carbon footprints (Greenpace, 2010). Despite it organizations are looking towards developing a virtual server in their data place where they look to pass on the data collection work to other companies through outsourcing and look towards reducing their own carbon footprint (Michael, Armando, Rean, Joseph, Randy, Konwinski & Lee, 2009). This will increase the role of business as looking towards finding a method through which organizations look towards building data centers will help to provide the required efficiency and will thereby guide in reducing carbons (Stephen, 2009). This has made organizations look towards virtualization as the benefit of cloud computing in the field of carbon emission can be identified and gathered from those sources which have increased the role of data centers (Chiaraviglio, Mellia and Neri, 2009). This thereby ensures that data collection method changes and cloud computing is able to contribute towards controlling carbon footprints which through research will further provide different directions through which it can be achieved. Methodology The research uses both primary and secondary data to carry out the research as using both will ensure that the previous and the new findings can be backed and provided conclusive evidence which will help to improve the value of the research. The primary research is gathered by carrying out research through the medium of data gathering from different industries performing in the economy and the manner carbon emission is impacting their business. It also looks to consider the different directives which will help to find out the method through which cloud computing will help and for this different industries in different fields have been considered. This method also uses secondary data which will help to understand the impact carbon emission is having on the business potential of companies. The validity of the research will increase as having different backing and conclusive evidence due to past research will help to increase the value of the research and ensure proper data evaluation Data Collection Method The data for the research is gathered by conducting interviews will different representatives of different industry so that their view point regarding carbon emission and its impact on business can be gauged. This primary data will be backed by secondary data which will help to find out the areas which are of concern for the business. The data collection method looks towards having a mix of different industries so that an overview based on it can be identified. Looking at the way in which data is collected it can be termed as semi-structured as the research proposes interviews which will be tape recorded and running commentary of different representatives of different industry so that better comparison can be formed. This will provide conculsive direction and evaluation against various parameters which will help to find out the areas through which cloud computing will contribute towards reducing the impact of carbon emission and ensuring that the organization is able to achieve better results. Conclusion The research thereby looks towards providing conclusive answer to the question that has been asked in the research regarding the manner cloud computing can contribute towards reducing carbon emission which is having an impact on the performance of the business.
