Business, Government and Society Clean technology business idea The concept of clean technology, which involves the use of new technological developments to aide in the creation of services and products that seek to optimize the use of the prevailing natural resources and thereby add significant economic value to the users, has been a predominant focus of the contemporary highly technology-based industries (Burtis, Esptein and Parker 7). Almost all governments and investors are keen to create sustainable platforms that are ideally based on the concept of clean technology and are aimed at reducing the resultant impact of human activities on the natural environment (Burtis, Esptein and Parker 9). This paper seeks to describe the recently launched use of enzymatic cleantech-based approach and how the technological platform will help reduce the impact of activities that humankind carry out on the environment. Recently, a biotech company, Richcore Lifesciences released an enzymatic platform that aims to facilitate the use of clean technology in the pharmaceutical industry (Vijay 1). Commonly referred to as Ecosol, the new technological development will work to significantly reduce pollution that has been continuously associated with the effluents from pharmaceutical producing industrial units. Pharmaceutical companies normally incur significant costs in ensuring that they treat their water with trestle. In this regard, the new technology, Ecosol will save these companies over 25 percent of costs incurred in treating water using the trestle. Further, since the new technology is consumable it can easily be slotted in the process of treating waste water carried in any of the given pharmaceutical industries (Vijay 1). However, the management of these pharmaceuticals must ensure that the waste water does not contain heavy metals and fluorides since these will inhibit and/or stop enzymatic reactions (Vijay 1). The Ecosol is primarily intended for the use in the pharmaceutical industry all over the world. However, it is important to note that the companies seeking to utilize the product should deploy the necessary technologically supporting equipments and channels if only they want to achieve the needful high enzymatic reactions in their production units. This will enable the company to achieve an efficient process that significantly cost effective and highly reduces the impact of human kind on the natural environment (Burtis, Esptein and Parker 37). Additionally, the companies must invest in a Greenfield manufacturing facility that is compliant to the necessary enzymatic reactions expected in the pharmaceutical producing units. This will enable the company produce enzymes with significantly high value but which do not consume greater volumes. Such enzymes could also be used in manufacturing bio pharmaceuticals and the related processes involving bio transformation (Vijay 1). This new technological solution seeks to adapt several compliant features that will facilitate its application on the global market place. Such compliant issues include attaining significant patents in the related areas such as those relating to the management of waste water, design of manufacturing processes and the energy production and improvement of ethanol use in providing energy and stimulating pharmaceutical reactions as has been the case in many pharmaceutical industries for several ages now. In this regard, the clean technology product will be useful all across the globe but with focus on the pharmaceutical industry. This endeavor mainly seeks to nourish the players in the pharmaceutical industry with sufficient and efficient platform to save costs, reduce pollution since it does not require additional heavy capital expenditure and does not work to cannibalize prevailing technologies (Burtis, Esptein and Parker 53). Therefore, it practically fits in the category of clean technology products and services. Social entrepreneurial venture Business creations with social orientations have been part of human kind, who by nature is a social being. People from different walks of life have come up with ventures aimed at providing specific solutions to social problems and thereby enabling social change. According to Phills and Denend (7), social entrepreneurs have been very instrumental in providing corrective and mitigating approaches towards the prevailing market failures especially in terms of the social differentials between those who can easily and efficiently access financial support and those who cannot (Phills and Denend 7). This section of the paper will seek to describe how POKO enterprises, a social entrepreneurial venture that aims to empower the less fortunate towards self reliance by supporting them through sustainable loans arrangements. The paper will further explain how the entity has utilized its resources to address affordability through differential pricing, enhanced self sustainability and competitiveness (Phills and Denend 14). POKO entrepreneurial entity is a social venture with the mission to provide and collect loans with favorable rates that enable the poor and the less fortunate to access the financial services that they are in dire need of. The enterprise was formed following the social problems that exist in the surrounding community who are quite poor and cannot afford even the basic needful resources like healthcare and the peripheral services. To this end the organization provides the local community with a social starter in a bid to empower them to access the basic requirement and more importantly to start small businesses that will enable their sustenance for the remaining portions of their lives and the rest of their family members. The entity has gauged specialized members of the community to provide the necessary advocacy and micro-finance skills to the people so as to acknowledge and associate with the firm and its endeavor to promote social change through self-reliance. The firm has fragmented the loan rates to accommodate the different levels of people in the local and the surrounding communities. The company utilizes the reliable information from the local authorities and the experts of the ground to determine the requisite amount that each member of the community should access and goes ahead to continuously monitor the progress and/or advise the individual towards sustainable ways of ensuring self reliance from the loans while maintaining the contractual agreements in terms of the repayment of the loan. This works to enable POKO to employ the price differential strategies. Further, the company derives sustainability from the interest and has clearly stipulated this in the contract to enable the clients to articulate the relevant approaches involved in the program. Additionally, the company has utilized the specialized expertise of the locals to provide jobs as well as the needed additional benefits in terms of the valuable advice they give to both individual loan seekers and the groups. Moreover, and in a bid to ensure affordability of the loans, the company has employed specialized lending rates and derivable additional benefits as well as special session advocacy to ensure that people are aware of the products that POKO provides. Mitigating systemic challenges One of the biggest challenges facing human kind across the globe is the insurgence of the economic collapse. Both the economic and political leaders world over have developed and implemented different and sometimes conflicting and politically motivated frameworks and policies that have only worked to fuel the spread of the collapse that may make the world sink into deeps that have never been experienced since the creation time. The management of the economic collapse has failed the test of collaboration as leaders seek to implement individually and/or nationally motivated strategies that seem to leave out the rest of the world while the problem is global in nature. The inability of leaders and policymakers to collaborate and find amicable approaches to the collapse is a greater problem with the problem and this is why Senge et al, argue that it will only be possible for leaders to address world-wide problems if they employ the necessary and right conceptual aspects, relational cohesiveness and action driven approaches that are collaborative in nature (Senge et al 45). Conceptual aspects In a bid to make sense of the complexities surrounding the insurgence of the economic collapse, the relevant stakeholders must employ, in addition to efficient systems-thinking skills set, a well developed and sufficiently shared conceptual sense of the systems operability surrounding the economic debate (Senge et al 45). In this regard, the leaders and significant stakeholders must clearly articulate the different world views that shape the notion of the economic collapse. Additionally, the leaders and other stakeholders must sufficiently document the various frameworks relating to the different country and/or national economic policies of all the nationalities involved and how to incorporate the ones that currently seem out of the discussions about the economic collapse (Senge et al 46). As a result, the leaders will be able to develop the desired community of economic thought block through togetherness and sharing. Moreover, the group will be able to create simplicity without involving unnecessary reductions that have shaped the current objections from certain countries (Senge et al 47). Relational In addition to the sufficiently shared conceptual scope of the causal effects of the economic collapse, the leaders must ensure that they develop and sustain quality relationships between the participatory nationalities and/or parties. According to Senge et al (47), it is the quality of relationship between individuals and parties to a transaction that will significantly influence the level of trust, joint learning, mutuality and cooperation among the parties and no team wants to miss these characteristics if only they aim to achieve highest performance levels (Senge et al 47). As such, the leaders involved in the economic collapse framework must understand the deep questions and/or longings from which the various dialogue groups emerge (Senge at al 48). Further, the economic leaders endeavor to nurture the needful relational space with the relevant parties in a systematic and purposeful way. Finally, the leaders must influence the team towards result-oriented formations to enable time management and efficient cooperation (Senge et al 49). Action drive The team involved in the economic collapse insurgence will only be making strong strides towards the achievement of the desired results if they combine the shared conceptual frameworks and the sustained quality relational interactions with the ability to come on with efficiently new action levels after the collaboration process (Senge et al 49). In order to achieve this, the leaders involved must clearly understand that the process takes quite some time to be able to bring everybody on board and orient them towards the new levels of action. However, the team will need to adopt the necessary radical methods in a bid to achieve the actions they set for themselves and it is only through this that the collaboration will have achieved the desired results (Senge et al 51).
