Spanish is ranked second after English, among spoken languages of United States. French comes third, and after these million of Americans speak German, Italian, Chineese, Urdu, regularly. There are two counties, where Navaho speakers are in highest concentration and Yupik speakers in one out of total thirty-five. US English Foundation Inc. reported 322 languages are spoken in the United States; among that English is the most common language. There are more than two Billions English speakers. Among all Americans, 96% are well versed with English. If languages are arranged alphabetically it starts from Abnaki to Zuni, whereas in order English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German is the most common language of United States. Distinct languages spoken in United States can be gathered into four categories (Hyon, and Robert). 1. Spanish This division comprises Spanish, Spanish Creole and Spanish Ladino. 2. Indo-European languages This division contains varied languages of Europe and Pak-Indo region. German, Yiddish, Dutch, Swedish, Finish, French Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Polish are European languages spoken in high frequency in United States. Urdu, Punjabi, Gujratic, Hindi, Iranian, and Greek languages are also placed in this category. 3. Asian and pacific Island languages Chinese; Korean; Japanese; Vietnamese; Hmong; Khmer; Lao; Thai; and Tagalog is put in Asian and P Island languages. Furthermore, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam; Philippine, Polynesian, and Micronesian are also placed in this division. 4. Others All other languages named above are grouped in this category.  Uralic languages (such as Hungarian), the Semitic languages (Arabic, Hebrew, etc.), languages of Africa, and N North, South and Central America, etc. are placed in this class. Further, it is spoken as the second most common language in one county of each Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky.  The biggest French-speaking communities in the United States reside in Northeast Maine; Hollywood and Miami, Florida; New York City. Pennsylvania is the State where Dutch is spoken in three counties, higher than any other State. According to 2000 census report (Hyon, and Rosalind), excluding above mentioned more than 1.3 million Italian, 1.2 million Tagalog, 1.01 Vietnamese 0.9 million Korean, 0.7 million Russian, 0.32 million Hindi and 0.26 million Urdu orators dwell in United States. Native American languages like Dakota, Navajo, Cherokee, Yokutsan, Algic, Utian, and Maidun, etc. and Austronasian languages like Samoan, Carolinian, etc. are collective ones among Indegenous languages. Cherokee language is amid the most joint Native language of United States. More than 22,000 people communicate in Cherokee language. Georgia, North Carolina, and California are the portions where frequency of Cherokee speakers is greater in comparison to other areas. Dakota comes after Cherokee language; it is spoken in ninteen counties of United States. More than 18,000 dakotian speakers exist. Other includes Dakota (19 counties), Norwegian (14 counties), Finnish (9 counties), Tagalog (8 counties), Cherokee (6 counties), Ojibwa (5 counties), Portuguese (4 counties), Hidatsa (2 counties) and Ute, where it is spoken in one county. Apache have speakers approximately 12,000 in numbers. It is spoken in the northwest of Canada and Alaska. It is somewhate language like Navajo because of similar phonology. It is considered to be highly complex language because it shows various levels of animacy in its grammar, with certain nouns taking different verb forms from others according to their rank in this animacy hierarchy. Central Alaskan Yup’ik is spoken by 13,000 Americans. It is spoken on the Alaska mainland from Sound down to the Alaska Peninsula and on some islands such as Nunivak. It is also referred as Yup’ik because of the elongation of “p” in this language. Other Native languages include Choctaw (11, 000), Zuni (10, 000), and Keres (10,000), Ojibwe (7000) speakers. Austronesian languages, for example, Hawaiian, Samoan, and Chamora, etc. is classified in indigenous language of United States. Austonesian languages are also referred as Malayo-Polyneisan language. It is the family of more than thousand languages. Representative language of Hawai is Hawaiian. More than 27 thousand speakers of Hawaiian dwell in United States. Until, 1990’s it is voiced only by Hawaii natives. Becaue of large number of programs offered in Hawaiian ranging from Kindergarten to Graduation, frequency of Hawaiian speakers in continuously increasing. Samoan is the representative language of area American Samoa. Samoan is the variety of Latin alphabets, and it is quite alike to English, alphabetical wise. Approximately, 80% of county American Samoa speaks Samoan. More than 50,000 Chamora speakers dwell in the Mariana Island in United States, where it is the co-official language. It is also widely spoken in Guam, where sixty percent of dwellers are familiar with Chamora language. This report furnishes analysis of different languages spoken in United States. It believes that United States is the real picture of globalization. It is not the land of one or two languages but multiple. It wouldn’t be wrong, if one say, tremendous growth; industrialisation in United States is because of no dispute in language. However, English and Spanish are the most spoken language of United States. Languages spoken at home are not evenly dispensed throughout the country. Some areas have lofty percentages of non-English speakers. Languages are highly dispersed throughout United States; it is not condensed to one county or states like third world countries, for example, Pakistan, where people fight on languages. This scattering of language and no warfare is the key behind United States success.
