The fountain is a movie that was created with rich imagination of love which is everlasting, morality, and symbolism of the bible as well as boundless possible metaphysical in the film industry that was invited with acclaims that is divided. This paper will therefore look at the morals, philosophical and the ideological lessons from the story as well as look at the fountain of youths in both religion and scientific view. As the director of the movie, Aronofsky may not have selected the presentation that is easy to his audience to accommodate and conceptualize his theories on qualities of life that is lasting and the powers of death which is transformative.
This is the sequence which is final with Jackman specifically who is bald floating in space inside a bubble. The theme in the Fountain depicts the ideology of fear of death, individuals moving from darkness to light and from black to white. The movie director indicates traces of human beings towards death, through a man character who is scared to die and the act of moving towards death. In the beginning of the movie, a verse from the bible has been paraphrased, Gen 3:24, which indicates the fall of man.
Here, Jackman shows the relevancy of fall of man by emphasis what is meant by fall. Falling is merely seen in the eyes of many, but it has a deep rooted background according to the Fountain movie. As a result of that we are human because we face death and that’s why man is a special creature. In the film, facing the tragedy terror of death, the patients in the movie do come in terms with the happenings.
In addition, patient or beings are in a position to speak out what is happening to them as they go towards death, however they cannot be helped in any way to deal with the happenings their families. The act of accepting the happenings is an indication of morality as a norm of facing death. Knowing that life provides solutions as well as problems that are challenges to be conquered is another moral lesson (Ebert, 249).
