Extract of sample "Building Upon Writing and Reading Skills"

All over my life, I have been helped by professionals and teachers to build upon my writing and reading skills. One thing that I have learned in life is that reading and writing skills are both interconnected. If one has good reading skills he probably can grasp good writing skills too with a little bit of struggle. I developed good reading skills because of this I was able to enhance my writing skills accordingly.

When I began studying I did not have a proficient level of reading or writing which created many difficulties for me in my early life. The teachers continuously emphasized my writing skills so that I could improve. My writing skills developed once I started reading articles and newspapers. In grade 8th I started reading newspapers and articles because of which both my reading and writing skills improved. As I moved ahead I knew how to write essays and analyze literary works. At first, my writing skills only improved a bit and my teachers were the ones who helped me out in improving them further. Taking out mistakes and correcting me was the task of the teachers which gave me experience in writing. In the next stage of my life, I started writing articles on my own and made it my hobby. Here again, I did not have a proficient level of writing and had to undergo many problems. I used to write articles and show them to professionals to find out they were just junk. These professionals then gave me hints as to how I should write on certain instances. In writing a piece of paper it is very important that one should create an interest amongst the audience and this then became my primary aim. I made it a habit to write stuff as soon as I grasped a topic. Reading is necessary for the development of writing skills and thus I made sure that I did not ever stop reading. Reading about general topics not only increased my knowledge but also helped me in analyzing how an article should be started or should end. In my analysis of different articles, I noticed that the introduction of an article is the most important factor in determining how the subject matter of that article would be. This made me more conscious when I wrote my articles as I made sure that I gave an interesting introduction before beginning the essay. It is the introduction that creates interest amongst the general audience and makes them read the essay hence my prior experience tells me that I should have an excellent introduction to my topic.
As I moved ahead these professionals were the ones who gave me hints to make a perfect essay. I made it a habit to read articles given out by professionals to grasp their skills. My vocabulary was enhanced through these articles and so did my skills of writing. Since then I have worked as a freelancer and have done many articles which have helped me to improve my writing skills. The improvement that I have in my writing is only because of the articles that I have read and the corrections done by the professionals and my teachers.  My prior experiences relate to the essay writing I have done in school and the articles I did as a freelancer.
I currently believe that I have the skills to write and analyze perfectly without facing any problems. My reading and writing skills have improved all over these years with the help of my teachers and professionals. With my prior experience in writing and reading, I believe that I can make a difference and can still write professional essays.
