In Egypt, this is seen by the way they were able to build the famous "pyramids" which extended to very long lengths of about 100 meters. While it is true the early kingdoms and empires had similarity, Rome is quite different in the way it used its structures. Egypt and Teotihuacanians used their structures to bury their leaders; this is not the case for Rome. The design of the underground pyramids had chambers just like the tunnel built by Teotihuacanians but not the case with Romans. Another clear difference is the fact that Rome was bigger than pharaohs kingdom, and the Mexican cities pointing to a difference in expansionary thirst and need for power among the three.

Its also true that while Romans were very adventurous relying heavily on ships for war and trade, this is not very similar to Teotihuacanians and Egyptians who happened to rely less on ships for war. Finally, it true that pyramids formed a common characteristic of Egyptian kingdom and Mexican cities, yet this wasnt the case for Rome that was characterized by Coliseums built for watching gladiators battle.
