Sometimes, my grandparents picked me up and took home. Overall, as it happened very often, I got used to it. I did not worry that my parents would forget about me. In fact, I liked spending time at nursery, and it was not a problem for me to wait a bit more than other children.
One day, I was waiting for my parents to pick me up and take home. Usually, I was not the last child to wait for their parents, and some kids were still at nursery when my parents came. That time I was the last one. Nobody came, and a nursery teacher took me home by herself. When I came home, my parents were really shocked, and shocked is too easy a word. It appeared they thought my grandparents would pick me up, and the latter thought it was my parents turn.
