Agha Rasulov Barbara Trentacosta ESL 100 Reflection Paper October 20, I had read different evaluation essays in the last chapter. I had almost gotten the meaning of evaluation. After I finished these essays, I have carefully read “ a Guide to writing evaluations”, and I used this guide when I wrote my essay.
Before I started to do my essay, I did brainstorming, which really helped me. After that part, I planned how I am going to write my essay, what I am going to support, and I started to write my first draft on paper. While I was copying it to my typed version of paper, I checked my grammar, corrected my mistakes, and changed words to the academic so as to make it sound more academic. In the next step, for organizing my evaluation more effectively for readers, I divided my essay to the different parts, and I named them accordingly for easy following.
In the class activity, while I was checking my classmates’ papers, they were checking my essay as well. They found some mistakes, and they explained them to me keenly and kindly. I understood my mistakes, and I replaced my thesis statement and other sentences. This was very helpful and I would not have found these mistakes in my essay if I had not given my work to my classmates for checking.
