Renata’s father tries to look for her everywhere but fails to find her. While he is worried about her absence, he is at the same time worried about her future and for this reason, he is reluctant to seek assistance from the police. Throughout the story, he tries to look for clues to get an idea about the location of his daughter, but all he finds are her paintings that portray accidents of young girls getting hit by cars.

Later that night, the narrator is frightened by some dream. As he wakes up, he immediately recalls the mental conditions of his mother and daughter. He immediately calls the service that provides information about the positions of his daughter and mother. To his utter surprise, both of them are lying comfortably in their rooms. This fills his heart with satisfaction and he feels happy for everyone being safe at home.
