But for years now public education, and especially public higher education has been under attack” (Reiff). Several educational reforms and financial planning could be carried out to make university education free for the students, because it would not only facilitate the students but also help in lowering the overall cost of educational budget.
The fees for tuition, boarding have been inflating for the past 20 years, inspite of that the public universities have to make cuts in the various services and educational programmes in order to compensate for the deficiencies in the budget. Free university education for every person would be a possible solution to the current inflation and economic dearth. “Not means-tested, not cheap, not subsided, but free. For everybody” (Reiff). Students will not have to work long hours in order to finance their university education, which not only affects their performance but also puts them under large debts they cannot pay (Reiff).

Samuels). If as ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Traditional University Education verses Online Education courses

..., just like the traditional university module, there are deadlines for submission of assignments and without commitment you cannot succeed in this program. .... It took me a month to collect this information, because of a low number of respondents. Should higher education be free

... 16 December Should higher education be free? For a long time, the higher education has been unaffordable for a lot of capable students (Reed and Szymanski). Accommodating the financial requirements of the education sector to provide the students with free higher education requires a lot of funding. There is a debate between the vice-chancellors and the National Union of Students (NUS) regarding the source of this funding, in which the former consider the students as the supposed source whereas the latter emphasize upon the rich public as the source (Ullmann). The best ethical solution to the problem is limiting the opportunity of free education only to the deserving yet poor students. It is not right from an ethical perspective... from in...
