SWOT Analysis for my writingStudent’s name:Institutional affiliation:SWOT Analysis for my writingThe following is a SWOT analysis of my writing. The analysis consists of only four items, which are: Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats. The analysis is important as it can help in shaping my strategy and offer decisions on which direction my general writing takes.StrengthsGenerally, my writings commonly involve good thoughts, well presented throughout all my works. It is essential to acknowledge that upon reading of any of my writings, it is easy to note a substantially good flow of thoughts regardless of the topic of discussion.
The flow is often backed by sequential ideas that make my work rightly interesting to read. I usually pick good evidences or proof to ensure that all the content of my writing offers and authentic outlook on the topic of writing. I am well conversant with the how a good content writing should be initiated, which means involving the use of a good introduction. Lastly, I have adequate knowledge on what different paragraphs in writing should include. For instance, I am well knowledgeable that the introductory paragraph should have an overview of the topic to be written about.
WeaknessesMy writing faces a number of weaknesses, which act as a drawback to providing quality content in most occasions. Firstly, I frequently make several spelling mistakes in my writing, with a relatively slower pace in solving the problem. Use of vocabulary has also been a weakness, as the majority of my writing lack an adequate vocabulary to match the great content I usually present. Another weak element in my writings is the use of relatively long sentences that sometimes make it difficult for the reader to fully understand my desired information.
Incorrect grammar structure has always been a major drawback to my writings, which are usually attributed to engaging in writing when not of what to write.OpportunitiesIn order to improve my areas that I am weak in my writings I need to embark on an extensive use of various elements essential for providing excellent writing skills. Firstly, I should make more thorough use of the English dictionary. The internet is another crucial resource I should increase its use in order to achieve better skills of writing.
Additionally, effectively following writings of teachers can generally improve my writings, as they provide easier and detailed guides that can positively help me out. Another helpful option that can act as an effective tool in improving my writing experience is the extensive use of the Writing Center, since its platform that aids many students to provide quality writings. Lastly, I should make more frequent consultation with our instructor while at school or online.ThreatsMy experience of writing is sometimes found to be poor, particularly those done under pressure.
I should ensure that I attend to my writings in a timelier manner in order to curb this vice. Another threat to my writing is learning wrong guides from my peers, some of which may not possess adequate knowledge to advice on quality writing. Professional writers have for a long time led to rise of poor methods of writings, attributing to unreliable information offered by such groups in regard to writing. Another threat to my general way of writing my continuous use of unknown updated information.
