...hide our head in the sand and tell ourselves that the ideology of our free fathers is not being attacked and is not being threatened by another idea “(Wallace, 1963). This statement is evident of his paternalism. The aim of law is to follow what has be laid down without asking question and without even considering changes in it. The view of Wallace on morality and aims of law is quite vague. He has not specifically talked about morality but he believes that it is our greatest obligation to believe in the Almighty and have faith. He says “We intend to renew our faith as God-fearing men . . . not government-fearing men nor any other kind of fearing-men” (Wallace, 1963). His idea of faith...

... Salem Witch Trials By Senior Law Correspondent Accusations and fear of the other are nothing new for the American culture. A few decades ago, anyone could be accused of being a communist and thus become the subject of persecution at the hands of those who thought communism to be the greatest personification of evil since the devil himself. However, even before the McCarthy Trials, there were the Salem Witch Trials in which people were accused of practicing witchcraft and based on mere accusations, had to suffer through trials, forced confessions with torture and even death at the hand of the accusers (Linder, 2008). It was certainly a dark chapter in the age of enlightenment and for America itself since it was supposed... Salem Witch Trials...

The southern part near the border with United States is heavily populated. As you move across the line, population density starts to decline. Economically and politically, the line separates the two regions. The southern part is amply represented politically but the northern part is marginalized. Additionally, the southern is more advanced economically compared to the northern region which relies on resource extraction. Consider the idea that there are “two northern Ontarios”. ...Discussion: Digital Divide between the Younger and Older Generation Based on what I have read on the digital divide, I could not agree more with the view that technology producers only focus on creating digital products that target only the young in the market. It further disengages the older generation and as a result, they do not benefit from using digital technologies (Olphert and Damodaran 564). However, I believe the focus should not be on how change is difficult to embrace for the older generation. Technology producers should focus on what factors hinder the older generation from fully embracing the digital technologies. In Chapter 6 of the classroom textbook, we learnt that there are higher rates of mental...

This is an opportunity that I find to be very beneficial and attractive to students who are considering making the University of Akron the choice of university to attend.
