Lecturer English Participate in a Study A study is a way of finding answers to difficult questions that show better ways of handling a situation. It involves the usage of the mind towards the attainment of knowledge that can be through reading, reflection or investigation (Sullivan, 1979).Participation in studies is of importance as it helps give solutions to existing problems. It can lead to the discovery of the best way of addressing a concern. Through the study, information about the matter at hand is gained and a solution for the present and future generations to use is reached at.
The participation enables the participant to acquire in-depth knowledge of the matter (Sullivan, 1979). The study also connects participants to other people across the globe who are doing a study in the same line of interest. The close monitoring by expert supervisors guarantees expertise learning. The participant needs to do earlier research to understanding why the study is being conducted before the session time. This will enable them make sound decision in the cause of the study. Information given will be correct.
The goal of the study should also be understood before the session. A study on developing a computer game with an aim of teaching players on ways of recognizing the six common cognitive decision-making biases is shall be conducted. The participants need to understand the cycle of the six biases and how they follow or build up on each other (Firestone, 2006). The complication resulting to limited understanding of the biases should be identified as solving it is the sole purpose of the study. Apart from this, knowledge on computer games development is key.
The participant can have a rough draft of that which they think is the correct measure should be taken before the session and with an open mind ready to adjust it and accommodate each other’s ideas effectively. The time and venue of the study should be clearly noted to be sure to meet all the other participants and handle the matter effectively within the provided timeline. For this study, the time has been scheduled to be on Saturday, 19 April, from 12:30PM to 3:00PM.Works CitedFirestone, M. (2006). Computer game developer.
