Extract of sample "Bullshit by Robert Gibson"

The author claims that such a phenomenon as bullshit is a typical feature of the culture and one can easily find it everywhere in any sphere of our life.

An excellent example, where everybody can trace bullshit is advertising which is very often created with its help of it. In other words, it is the exaggeration or rather perfectly hidden delusion. Sometimes it is not easy to understand whether it is bullshit or truth, because it meets people’s expectations.

Another important and noticeable bullshit is related to the environmental issue. During the last few years, one could hear about the limit of time that people have to save the earth. It is one of the tricks that are used to get the desired result. The bullshit was not invented yesterday; it was widely used in ancient times as well, but in slightly different forms (Gibson, 2011).
