Men Who Built America It is undeniable that America was not discovered but indeed built. This is primarily evident from the first episode of the documentary “Men Who Built America.” The most significant icons, as depicted in the first episode are Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Ford, and Morgan. These American icons sacrificed their lives for American society. However, they ended up becoming rich in the process. For instance, I could sympathize with Carnegie as efforts to revolutionize the steel industry.

At some point, he had to prove to the American people that the steel-built bridge was strong enough for use. The most important concept that I learned from the episode is the unity and cooperation among Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Ford, and Morgan. They often seemed to combine their efforts and in the process make more discoveries. For example, the discovery of electricity made it easier for other industries such as finance, and transport to flourish.
