17 November Keeping teachers employed Teachers are the pioneers of every nation. Nations are built from the perspectives of the nation and those perspectives are inculcated in the nation by the teachers. Teachers are primarily responsible for the norms, values, trends and traditions that are the defining elements of a culture. They influence and shape the minds of youth which happens to be the drivers of change in the society. Hence, teachers are of prime importance for every nation. Teachers are important to children because they are their guides.

A student approaches a teacher as a role model. A teacher’s actions, sayings and behavior are imitated by the children. Children go to school with a mindset that they have to receive education there. Among all the people that form part of a school, it is fundamentally a teacher that a student looks up to for all kinds of help and education. Children find their parents in their teachers. What parents are to a child at home is a teacher to the child at school. Keeping the teachers employed is in the own interest of the politicians.

Teachers have the tendency, power and capability to drive a change. Whatever they say will be believed by the students. They are one source of knowledge that is considered the most reliable by the children. Politicians can implement their ideology in a society by inculcating it in the minds and nurturing of the young generation. Teachers being the leaders of the young generation can help the politicians achieve their purpose.
