Paper Dressing Style: A True Revelation of the Personality Introduction The idea of self-representation is the mostimportant one in humans’ psychological existence. Humans listen to their favorite music and promote it as well because it says something about their personality and therefore indirectly when they promote their loved songs they are indeed telling a lot about them, if one cares to pay attention. There are many sources to achieve self-representation one of them is the maintenance of good to excellent dressing styles. Nevertheless in all parts of the world professional artists are known for their different and elegant dressing styles and they consider dress as the source of differentiation between animals and evolved human beings. Still good dressing and latest fashioned clothes do not necessarily mean that the person who is wearing them has an equally attractive character (Costello p 142) because famous gangsters are also quite popular for their artistic dressing choices. So it can be established that one should not create any judgment about anyone by merely looking at their dressing to say the least. Modern psychology states that a poorly dressed man may be more intelligent than the one with expensive clothes. It is because genius remains busy and therefore he or she has little time to pay attention to his or her outfit. But an idiot will try to disguise others with his or her dressing yet in the longer run a genius will prevail because at the end of the day work matters alone. In my case I believe that a formal suit along with a necktie and polished shoes represent my personality ideally. The above-mentioned belief is formed in past few years as I have noticed that good dressing allows me to grab early attention of the key figures of any professional meeting and additionally it permits me to present my ideas and artwork in a relaxed and friendly environment. In my experience modern world has a strange habit of looking at the outward appearance of a person before giving his or her opportunity to unfold and present the true hidden talent. In order to pass the initial dressing check I have developed a highly professional dressing sense in recent years. I suppose I have been successful in leaving a lasting impression in every professional meeting with the help of integrating my outward appearance and artwork. Q.1 I have decided to write an essay on the impact of dressing style on my professional life and I have also decided to write it in a subjective manner. It is because I imagine the essay to present my views and beliefs about the importance of professional dressing and therefore I consider it as my duty to give my emotions, likes and dislikes a leave way while composing the document. Q.2 Professional dressing has become an integral part of my life lately and due to this reason I have a professional and private interest attached to the proposed essay. The idea of wearing informal dressing during any kind of professional gathering appears to me as an alien one nowadays. However in parties with friends and family I suffice to wear jeans and t-shirt so that I can assimilate in the environment. Conversely I do not let myself develop into an overconfident individual based on the fact that I dress up excellently as it can take my focus away from my work that is the top priority in all circumstances. Q.3 I have noticed that professional leaders find my dressing sense quite attractive and they have appreciated it on more than one occasion. Members of professional community on the other hand pay more attention towards me because they consider me and others like me as the future of their profession. I will also like to confess that I have managed to attract attention of significant personalities with the help of my extraordinary dressing sense. I am also famous for wearing dark colored suits with slight modifications with respect to the timing and nature of the event. In less formal meetings I participate without the necktie while it is a necessary part of my personal dress-code in formal events. Q.4 I would attempt to convey the importance of good dressing in terms of attainment of positive mindset in daily life. The attainment of constructive mind-frame is identified as a prerequisite of success in all walks of life. Yet I will try to communicate the value of focusing on work before people pay attention to their outfit because in the long run one’s work will predict their success while the quality of clothes is notorious for subsiding within few initial moments of an interview or a meeting. Q.5 Firstly it is important to note that the world has a habit to expect certain type of behavior from leading professionals in all industries and the most significant one is the need to see the leaders of community packed in elegantly designed dresses. Secondly it is not necessary that one should buy expensive clothes in order to grab the attention but an inexpensive suit with an ideal design and carry will do the trick. Thirdly the essay will convey that an individual with mediocre ability will remain as such despite his or her exceptional dressing whereas the genius will maintain his or her dignity in parallel to the worst kind of dressing possible. Thus the key message of the essay will emphasize on professional hard-work and dedication. The idea is to beautify the inside before beautification of the appearance. Q.6 The major difficulty that might arise is the need of keeping the meaning of essay intact during the process of communicating my personal feelings towards the importance of professional dressing. Additionally, I will be conducting intensive literature review on the topic before combining the final draft of the essay. Finally I am well aware of the fact that some people may disagree with my viewpoint towards the topic and therefore I will be more than willing to take part in the discussion of the merits and de-merits of the essay that I will draft in few days.
