I am going to describe what concrete is its historical background, and other cementitious materials, reinforced cement and chemical admixtures. Concrete consists of ordinary and high-density aggregates, with workability that is suitable for construction.

Admixture - this a material such as cement, aggregate, or water, which is used as an ingredient mortar or concrete that controls the early workability and setting, workability, or other cementing properties.

Accelerators - this is an admixture describing the setting time and increasing hydration rate.

Aggregate - inert solid bodies like sand, crushed rock, and gravel.

Bleed - this is the act of having water seep on the surface of cement paste because of the settling.

Binder - this is a cement paste that has been Hardened.

Cement - is a finely powdered mixture consisting of inorganic compounds that should be combined using water hardened with hydration.

Calcination - is the decomposition as a result of the loss of bound carbon dioxide and water.

Cement paste - this is Cement added to water. When cement reacts with water, it forms what is known as cement paste.

Clay; Soil type consisting of very fine particles.

Compression - these are Forces acting inwardly inside the body.

Clinker - this is the material emerging from a cement kiln after combustion. It is in the form of dark, and porous nodules that are ground using a small amount of gypsum-giving cement.

Concrete - this is a hard, compact material used for building, and is formed by a mixture of gravel, cement, water, and sand when they undergo hydration.

Cure - this is the act of keeping concrete moist on the initial hardening.

Deformation - changing the dimensions of structures using force.

Dormancy period - the period that concrete retains its workability.

Elasticity - the capability of materials to retain the original shape after getting stretched.

Forms - are the holders where concrete is placed during hardening.

Hydration - reaction of water with cement to form a cement paste.

Mortar - is a Cement paste that has been mixed with sand.

Pozzuoli cement - is a Volcanic rock powdered, used for making hydraulic cement.

Portland cement - this is a cement consisting mainly of calcium silicates that react with water forming a hard mass.

Workability - this is how easily fresh concrete can be placed and consolidated in forms.
