MBA SCHOOL ENTRANCE ESSAY The business world in existence today is rather complicated and in demand of specialized skills. This ever-morphing business world deserves an equally dynamic class of business graduates. Thus, a good education is an imperative tool to success in today’s business world as it is a major step in business knowledge acquisition. It is in light of these changes in today’s world that I ask that you kindly consider my resume as well as my application to the business school at your college. As it is evident from my resume, my educational background is well in line with the vision and mission of your college, which simply states nothing but the best. I also have hands-on experience in the actual world of business. I perfected my introductory craft into the world of business for a two-year period during which I worked as an administrative assistant. My term as an administrative assistant started in May of the year 2013. I firmly believe that this brief introduction into the business world gave me the tools I need to excel in your college and by extension in the world of business. My undergraduate major was health sciences and my degree was BS in education. Through this two-year period, I learned that rudimentary knowledge is not enough in the world of business. The actual conditions on the ground demanded expertise that was outside of my realm of knowledge because I had not taken a degree course in business administration. Even with the major setbacks I, however, became resourceful and researched every role in order to perform every task to the highest levels of perfection. My work records during this two-year period are attached and there is a recommendation letter from my former employer acknowledging my unlimited potential as well as stellar performance. I am primarily interested in pursuing a degree program in business administration. The main reason behind my pursuance of this particular program resonates from a personal paradigm. On a personal level, I have always been very passionate when it comes to business. I have always admired businesses men and mainly business related activities. I believe that business is not just my personal hobby but also my passion in life. Therefore, I believe that graduate study in business administration is a major step in actualizing my life’s goal of becoming a business administrator. I also believe that my performance throughout the program will be exemplary. This is not just because of my previous performance in business related courses but rather because I am passionate about this business administration degree program. Thus, my conduct during the degree program will not just be fuelled by the need for academic excellence but also by the knowledge that I am making a major step in the right direction toward actualizing my life’s goals. I strongly believe that the emotional weight in play will enable me to be the hardest and smartest worker in the class and as a result, help maintain the high standards of academic performance synonymous with this particular college. My pursuance of a degree course in business administration is not just about actualizing my personal goals. As a business administrator, I will have supervisory jurisdiction over many new entrants into the business world. I see this as an opportunity to help these new entrants make the right and most strategic decisions in the world of business. In essence, my pursuance of this degree program will give me the opportunity to become a mentor to new business enthusiasts. I see this as an opportunity to impart the unlimited knowledge acquired at your school to the next generation of prominent business personalities. Thus, I see this degree program as a personal opportunity of placement at the foundation of the next generation of business. My ever-growing need for excellence is also a major factor in my choice for this particular degree program. In light of the major changes and improvements made by corporations in the business world today, I am of the opinion that more needs to be done. I have an intention of revolutionizing the world of business administration at the corporation that will employ me. I have a desire of making ripples throughout the world of business administration which will in effect improve the art of business administration. Making such a significant impact is, however, easier in theory than in practice. That is why I have chosen one of the best colleges in the world when it comes to business related course. I believe that in order to make changes on a global scale I must acquire knowledge from a college that is renowned on a global stage. Thus, I believe that your college gives me an advantaged placing in the world of business, which is optimal to making the changes, that is necessary in today’s world of business. In addition to my academic credentials, I have also served as a student leader and a volunteer in the local community. My life, which is interdisciplinary in nature, has allowed me to develop a full range of skills and knowledge, which is necessary to be a refined student of business administration. A good practical example is my tenure as an administrative assistant. This experience gave me an eye opener into the multi-dimensional world of business planning and business administration. All the activities that were relegated to me taught me that the basics were the most important concepts in the world of business. Taking into account the complexities of the tasks given to me, always found myself involuntarily returning to the very basic of the entire concept.
