Extract of sample "The Changes in the Technological and Economic Worlds: Reduction of the Business Expenses"

The world in the year 2043 has changed drastically both economically and technologically. It is necessary to focus on the current “inside world” that is the technological world and the “outside world” that corresponds to the economic resource aspect of the world. Technology has highly advanced compared to the past. People thought that higher technological progress would result into the improvement of people’s lifestyles and the country’s financial systems before the current high technological advancement. However, the financial system has deteriorated due to reduction of economic resources caused by human activities. The inside world The inside world corresponds to technology system in the year 2043. The current technology is more advanced compared to the past. Between the year 2012 and 2043, the world experienced faster technological changes. The faster changes resulted from the higher levels of human acquaintance and their interactions with the world. The advanced technology has had both constructive and unconstructive impacts on the on the communal, fiscal, and ecological perspectives (Kiplinger 1). For example, technology has resulted into both constructive and negative effects on education. Some few years prior to 2012, few people acquired their education through the online systems. In the current world, almost everyone is engaging in online systems. People no longer go to schools. They only interacted with their instructors through the online means. The technology is now fully utilized to reduce the environmental impact such as traffic congestions attributable to vehicles used by students when going to schools. I am also pursuing my higher education through online technology. This has been instrumental when reducing the exhaust fumes that would further pollute the environments by the many vehicles. This system also reduces expenses and time spent in transportation when going to school and going back home. However, the online education has affected the children’s social lives. Students no longer interact with other students and their teachers directly due to the full implementation of the online education. This negatively affects their social health (Kiplinger 1). Technology has also affected the business world in various ways. For instance, almost all the business transactions are done online. For instance, I buy everything including food online now days. This has helped many businesses in reducing the expenses by eliminating some business departments. The businesses in the contemporary society do not employ the sales persons. They only advertise their products online without interacting with their customers on the one-on-one basis unlike the past. This affected many people in the sales profession because they became jobless (Pearson 1). An additional technological advancement that the inside world has experienced between the year 2012 and 2043 is the implementation of the nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has played a great part in the current world. For instance, it has enhanced security in the country. I no longer use the security cameras that we placed in our house for security in past. I use nanotechnology that is too small for one to notice. The past security cameras were larger. Consequently, it was easier for people to notice them. They were not very effective since people used to spray paint on them before breaking into houses. I program my nanotechnology camera to track the moments and alert the police directly. The nanotechnology is highly used by soldiers and police offers because they are light. Additionally, they are highly used in hospitals to cure cancer. This is vital especially in the contemporary world because several people suffer from cancer. My friend who had cancer was cured through the nanotechnology. Researchers say that the technology works by producing harmless electrons when the nanites are radiated (Kiplinger 1). Additionally, the nanotechnology has currently changed the food concepts. Since the healthy foods are expensive currently, the nanotechnology can change food into anything you want or change the nutrients in the foods. I use the technology in changing the food texture, nutrient content and color because buying different types of foods with different nutrients is very expensive in the inside world (Admin 1). Another technological change that has occurred between the years 2012 and 2043 is the use of robots. Currently robots perform several functions compared to the past. For example, people do not use robots in the industrial sectors alone. They also use robots at home. For instance, we use a robot in our home, to help the elderly while everyone is away. Consequently, we fail to comprehend the need to take our grandmother to the elderly home. Additionally, we use robots in the current vacuum cleaners. Consequently, I do not have to use the vacuum cleaners manually. I insert the robot into the vacuum cleaner and it does everything better than I would have done (Kiplinger 1). Additionally, the year 2043 has seen robots driving cars especially if one is tired or unable to drive the cars. This has enabled many disabled individuals to operate their vehicles without hiring people to drive them as most of them did in the past. Apart from robots, the automated and folding cars are highly used in the current world. The vehicles are very light because they lack bulky engines and break systems. I use this car frequently because it can squeeze in the small urban parking places (Pearson 1). Additionally, the year 2043 has witnessed the full implementation of green technology especially in the transportation sectors. For instance, all the vehicle manufactures produce the hybrid vehicles that use both gasoline and electric power. This is vital in the current world where there is shortage of fuel. This helps in reducing the cost of fuel. Additionally, it helps in reducing pollution especially in the current world where everyone owns a car (Brotman 1). Currently, the world relies on genetically modified foods. In 2010, the introduction of this technology created controversy due to its negative effects. However, due to the high rate of population increase, food shortage and the high demand for foods, most countries had to implement the technology to address these issues. In our home, I raise and sale genetically modified fish. The rate at which the fish grow is twice the rate of the normal fish. This is advantageous because I do not use more money feeding the fish for a long time before I sale them (Pearson 1). The outside world The outside world consists of the physical environmental resources such as the landscape, buildings, and the natural resources. This world is not the same as the past because many changes have occurred due to human activities that also involve the introduction of some technology (Maslin 50). One of changes that one can notice in the years 2043 is the landscape alteration especially the change in the sea level. The sea level has increased by approximately ten feet from the years 2012 to the 2043. This implies that the coastal areas experience regular floods. We longer enjoy basking in the beaches like the past since they are all covered with water. This has also been very dangerous because it has caused the deaths of many individuals living near the seacoasts. This is because of the receding seacoast and the constant floods experienced in the region. This leaves many people homeless. It also forces some of them to migrate to other areas. This implies that the people’s living standards are reducing. This is against the countries expectations (Maslin 64). Additionally, the physical environment is no longer beautiful like in the past. This is because it is difficult to find a tree. In the past, we used to have forests and some trees in both residential and town centers. I miss the fresh air within forests and reserved areas that were set aside to maintain the aesthetic beauty. Humans have cleared almost all the trees to create land for settlements, roads expansions, and other industrial activities. This has contributed to the scarcity of the natural resources leading to the current low economic status in most countries. Between 2012 and 2043, roads have expanded due to the current vehicle congestions. Almost everyone who is above the age of 18 owns at least 1 car and 80 percent of them use them daily. I personally own two cars. Additionally, the increase in population resulted from the lower mortality rate contributed to land scarcity. In respond to this, people started clearing forests in order to create more settlement areas. The past reserved forests are no longer there. The current world with very few trees is very ugly (Maslin 72). Additionally, in 2043 the world experiences very high temperatures due to global warming effects. This resulted from the reduction of vegetation cover. During the daytime, it can be very uncomfortable to stay in the house due to the heat. The high temperatures have also effected the environment negatively. For instance, snowcaps and the snow-covered lands that added beauty to the environment are absent. This is because they all melted away due to the temperature rise. The snow could not form in such hot weather. Ice melting is one of the factors that contributed to the elevation of the sea level. This is because as the researchers claim, all the water that resulted from melting flowed into the sea directly or through the rivers that fed the sea. Scientists also claim that the current temperatures are very high because the ozone layer is very thin. The polluted air that resulted from the human activities depleted this important layer. Moreover, many people have cancer in the current world. According to the current research outcomes, for every 10 people in the world one of them has cancer. Due to the scarcity of drugs, this illness is now the leading cause of deaths in several countries. This is because of the Ultra Violet rays that hit people’s skins since the Ozone layer is currently too thin to prevent such dangerous rays from reaching people’s skins directly (Haldar 61). Another change that the world has experienced between 2012 and 2043 is the reduction of biodiversity. This has also contributed to the reduction of the economic resources. Many plant and animal species became extinct during this period. This is because animal’s habitats were destroyed when the humans cleared the trees. Vegetation was vital because many animals depended on them for food. Many animals became extinct because they could not access food and their habitats were destroyed. For instance, the white rhinos became extinct. Most of the wild animals are only preserved in museums, which are not the animal’s natural habitats. We enjoyed the foreign exchange brought into the country by the tourists who visited to view unique environmental resources. The society no longer enjoys this phenomenon since there is nothing to view. The extinction of many plants also had negative effects on the health sectors. This is because it has become very difficult to develop new drugs. Most drugs were obtained from plants. The plants are no longer available because the cost of health care has become very high. This is because the drugs are now very expensive. Many people die because they cannot afford drugs (Haldar 58). Furthermore, the current outside world experiences higher water pollution and scarcity. Water is now very expensive making it difficult for people to afford it. Indeed, water is a valuable natural resource that has become difficult to access. Water scarcity has resulted from the scarcity of trees that contributed to formation of rain. Many rivers and streams disappeared leading to the reduction of aquatic resources that played a great role in the country’s economy. The available water is highly polluted since most water sources now act as dumpsites. The poor waste disposal contributes to contamination of the underground waters making it difficult to access clean water. This has contributed to the people’s poor health. Many people die currently because of the water borne illnesses. The economy of the country has also been affected by the water scarcity. This is because many industries depend on water for many production processes. The water shortage has caused the reduction of industrial production. Additionally, water scarcity has contributed to energy shortages. The highest percentage of the country’s energy came from water. Consequently, the whole world is experiencing energy shortages. This has led to the reduction of industrial productions that affects the economy of the world negatively (Tabin 45). Additionally, the outside world is also experiencing that lack of food security. This is because the current environmental condition cannot support agriculture. Several countries depended on agriculture for food production in the past. Agriculture has been affected due to various reasons including land scarcity. The high population contributed to the conversion of agricultural lands into other forms of land uses such as settlement. Consequently, very small land portion was left for agriculture. This led to the low agricultural outputs that eventually contributed to food shortage. The current low agricultural product has made people turn to poor eating habits. For instance, people rely on fast foods because they cannot find healthy food like fruits and vegetable. Additionally, people rely on fast foods because they are cheap and available. Such eating habit has contributed to health problems. For instance, most people are currently obese. Additionally, most of them have cardiovascular diseases due to the high dependence on foods with high fat contents (Tabin 44). The current natural resources scarcity has led to inequality in the natural resources distribution. The rich can access water and other rare natural resources because they can afford it. However, the poor cannot access the basic natural resources. This inequality in the economic resource distribution has contributed to resource conflicts. Some fight each other in order to acquire the available scarce resources. Some have to steal what they cannot have. Money no longer defines the current social classes like in the past. People are now categorized based on the accessibility to the natural economic resources such as water, fresh air, and agricultural products (Haldar 57). Additionally, the fossil fuels are now extinct. This has contributed in the high cost of energy and oil. The countries that the world depended on for oil production no longer produce oil. This resulted from the overexploitation of the fossil fuels due the high rate of population increases, which contributed to the high demands for oil products. The rate of the oil exploitation in those countries exceeded the rate of fossil fuel formation (Haldar 63). Conclusion The technological and economic worlds have experienced many changes between the years 2012 and 2043. The new technologies evolved while the ones not entirely used in the past are now used. For instance, all businesses are now automated. This has contributed to reduction of the business expenses. Additionally, nanotechnology is now utilized in the current world. In 2012, scientists were still testing the effectiveness of the technology. The technology is highly used in the healthcare and security departments. The education sector is also using the online services fully. Additionally, the current world is experiencing a very high shortage of economic resources attributable to human activities that destroy the environment. Most of the economic resources are the natural resources that have reduced. Several resources are extinct due to global warming and environmental degradation. Works Cited Admin.
