Some of these factors may exist within the classroom whereas others may result from the external environment. These may include the relationship that exists between the teacher and the students. Teacher-student relationships may be influenced by several factors involving the nature of learning climate or environment created by the teacher, the classroom management as well as lesson clarity from the educational instructors. Moreover, the effectiveness of learning is subject of how the instructor communicates his expectations to the students as well as the students’ engagement in learning processes. This paper is going to evaluate an imaginary classroom teacher relevant to the effectiveness of his learning instructions. This is going to be based on the lenses of practice defined by Borich (2011), alongside integration of faith in the services offered to the students. This is going to aid in evaluating whether the imaginary teacher uses proper lenses of practice to promote effective learning to students. Some of these lenses of practice are discussed below relevant to the observations made. Learning Climate It is important to note that the learning climate is one of the most essential things to consider in promoting effective learning to students. Leaning climate refers to the environmental aspects persisting within the learning environment (Borich, 2011). This may consist of both the physical as well as emotional surrounding created within the learning environment. It is of critical significance to note that the learning climate should be friendly, accommodative as well as supportive to all the students. This is critical in ensuring that learning takes place in the most superb manner. A friendly environment is responsible for creating trust between the students as well as the teacher. This is important in ensuring that the students find easy time in conceptualizing the concepts put forward by their teacher (Borich, 2011). An ideal learning climate is subject of the manner in which the teacher communicates his expectations to the student. In addition, a good learning environment is subject of the activities taking place within the classroom as well as the nature in which the room is organized. It is important to note that the teacher has ensured that he creates a good learning climate in the classroom. The teacher has ensured that this is met in a number of ways. He promotes a good learning environment through creating and communicating his expectations in the friendliest way. Initially, the teacher laid down several student-friendly rules that he expected each student to adhere. Each student finds it easy to cope with these expectations since they match well with the age of the students. The teacher has also created a sense of integration and active participation from the students through imposing friendly activities that promote competitiveness, cooperation as well as independence that aims at active participation of all the students (Borich, 2011). The classroom is organized in the most efficient way. The sitting arrangement is superb, whereby students sit in groups. This encourages active participation, facilitates ease of movement in class. This is quite essential in promoting effective learning. Classroom Management It is of crucial significance to note that the manner in which the classroom is managed influences learning in different ways. A poorly managed classroom is likely to result to poor learning outcomes (Borich, 2011). On the other hand, a well-managed classroom is likely to result to positive learning outcomes. Classroom management ranges from the arrangement pattern, pre-establishment and communication of both classroom rules and instructional rules. In addition, an efficiently managed classroom needs a prior established system that defines the incentives as well as the consequences to the students alongside techniques for managing cases involving low-profile acts within the classroom. Low-profile behavior refers to the unwelcoming student behaviors either directed to the teacher or fellow students. Lesson Clarity It is of critical importance to note that lesson clarity always influences the performance outcomes in learning. A teacher with good ability to speak clearly and illustrate facts in the most appropriate manner is the key towards success in academic excellence (Borich, 2011). In the class, the teacher always presets his lessons in the clearest manner. The teacher always speaks audibly, clearly and in a very good pace that makes it easy to follow the concepts. In addition, the teacher always organizes and structures his learning materials in the most appropriate ways. This always makes it easy for the students to understand the concepts since the teacher always delivers them in the most age-appropriate manner. The teacher always informs the students some of the expected outcomes in the topics just prior to introducing a new topic. In addition, he always uses different techniques in ensuring that he links the previous lessons with the current and future lessons in a manner that the students find it easy to understand. In addition, the teacher always uses different teaching aids to assist the students have a clear grasp and understanding of the concepts being taught. These include the use of vivid illustrations, graphs and well designed charts that are very interesting to the students. In addition, the teacher always uses interesting demonstrations that makes students develop interests in the lesson. Moreover, the teacher sometimes uses instructional media, involving audios and documentaries to introduce the topics. At the end of the lesson, the teacher always makes summaries of the topic and poses some self-assessment questions to help the students understand the topics further. Instructional Variety The use of different instructional modes is crucial in promoting effective learning in students. Such instructional varieties that may be used by teachers include visual modes, audio as well as tactile modes of learning (Borich, 2011). These may comprise of charts, oral means, documentaries as well as videos. In the classroom, the teacher has been efficient in making use of different and several modes of learning. These include the use of oral means, coupled with creative and interesting stories. In addition, the teacher uses lots of pictures and interesting charts to communicate his instructions to the class. This has been quite efficient and effective in ensuring that the students become more attentive in classroom. In addition, the use of such modes of learning by the teacher has made several students develop interest as well as become more fascinated. This has helped in promoting good learning techniques thus leading to positive learning outcomes in the class. Task Orientation It is of crucial significance to note that task orientation is very crucial in ensuring success in boosting learning performance (Borich, 2011). The teacher always employs different teaching strategies to ensure that the students take little time to understand and conceptualize the concepts taught. He always gives students elaborate time to ask as many questions as possible for clarification. In addition, the teacher always ensures that he invests in more time to ensure that the students understand the concepts. Moreover, the teacher always employs the use of different approaches in communicating and clarifying the concepts. This ensures that the concepts are communicated and explained in a variety of ways. This makes it easy for the students to understand the concepts. This follows that the variety of approaches makes the students have a variety of views that helps in boosting their rates of understanding the concepts taught by the teacher. Student engagement It is important to note that the manner in which students are engaged in learning is an important factor in gauging the progress of learning. A classroom where the students are actively engaged in learning always depicts a good progress in learning (Borich, 2011). Such always results to positive learning outcomes. On the other hand, a classroom where the students are not actively engaged in learning depicts a relatively poor learning progress. This may always result to poor learning outcomes (Borich, 2011). In the classroom, the teacher always engages the students in the friendliest and age-appropriate manner. This has resulted to active engagement of the students in the learning progress. The teacher has ensured creating a good learning environment that promotes good rapport between the students and the teacher. This has promoted active student consultation. In addition, the good learning environment created by the teacher has resulted in students actively involved in asking several relevant questions for clarification. This helps in broadening the students’ understanding and making them to develop more interest. In addition, the students are also actively involved in answering the questions posed to them by the teacher. This shows the level of engagement of the students in the class. Moreover, the students actively participate in taking and accomplishing assignments in class. Furthermore, the students are actively engaged in group discussions and active in-depth research in concepts and topic taught by the teacher to promote more and better understanding. This is responsible in resulting to good learning outcomes. Student Success It is of critical significance to acknowledge the fact that the level of student success depends on the nature of the learning environment created by the teacher. A friendly learning environment attracts more interest and trust from the students (Borich, 2011). This is because in such situations, students always work hard towards achieving first-rate levels of success. This is mostly dependent on the teacher’s engagement with the students. In the class, the teacher has ensured that the students work towards achieving high levels of success through a number of ways. The teacher always builds upon prior learning in various ways. He always asks questions to recap the previous lessons. In addition, the teacher always clarify more concerning the previous lessons. This makes the students understand much better some concepts they may have not understood in the previous lessons. Moreover, the teacher always gives immediate and positive feedbacks as well as corrections to the students concerning their assignments. This always motivates students making them develop more interest. Whenever the teacher wants to transition to a new concept, he is always so considerate. He does this in the most appropriate manner making the students to maintain focus and attention. This has ensured a relatively fast-paced classroom in terms of grasping new concepts. Higher Thought Processes and Performance Outcomes It is important to note that higher performance outcomes, coupled with higher thought processes by the teacher is an important factor in creating n enabling learning environment (Borich, 2011). The teacher is a very wise person. He always have the most appropriate approaches towards solving problems and disputes among the students. In addition, he also possesses the friendliest ways of solving problems that may engage him with the students. He does this in a manner that no student feels offended. This is important in creating positive results that promotes learning activities. The teacher always maintains neutrality in his approaches. He does this in the most appropriate manner. Faith Integration In accordance with the teacher’s style of leadership, it is important to acknowledge the fact that the teacher has acted in a manner that depicts servant leadership. The humility and friendliness in which the teacher has always been treating the students in his class clearly shows that the teacher is a servant leader. The teacher always values all the students equally. Whenever there is any dispute amongst students or between the students and the teacher, he always solves such disputes in the most appropriate ways such that everybody feels respected. He always ensures that nobody engaged in a dispute feels offended following the conflict resolution strategies employed by the teacher. This creates peace as championed in the scriptures. It also creates a sense of inclusion where everybody feels adequately considered, respected and loved. In conclusion, it is important to note that a classroom is an effective environment for learning. The learning climate found in the classroom promotes learning activities in a myriad of ways. in addition, the manner in which the classroom is managed is very critical in ensuring that the students realize good learning outcomes. The instructional media employed by the teacher as well as the clarity of his lessons promote creates an effective learning environment. Moreover, the manner in which the students are always actively engaged in the classroom alongside the higher performance outcomes is an effective proof that the classroom is an effective environment for learning. Furthermore, within the classroom, the students always adhere to the teacher’s expectations and instructions. This helps in creating discipline necessary for an effective learning environment.
