EJEL has traveled a long journey from its publication in the year 2003 until today that is observable from its website. The website has indicated that it publishes two issues (general and special) every year while its scope includes research papers based on empirical and qualitative approaches, case studies illustrating the practice of the e-learning, and opinion articles that encourage the notion of debates related to e-learning. In addition to such scope, the EJEL Journal promotes submission of conference reports, as well as book reviews that have enhanced the validity and significance of the journal.

Another significant attribute of this website is a promotion of online learning related conferences on its platform, as currently, it is promoting the 9th European Conference on e-Learning that will be a significant contribution in the understanding of different aspects of online learning and its benefits in comparison with the traditional learning. Lastly, a brief analysis of the website allowed a preview of a few papers of the last issue dated December 2009. They included a wide range of studies from the experience of online learning for Nigerians to the papers analyzing the effectiveness of educational technology in enhancing the learning behavior of students that will be very valuable in studying the effectiveness and advantages of online learning.

The previous website was a very formal platform that included researches on the subject of online learning; however, the current website is an interactive one that is focusing primarily on the promotion of “free education for children on a global level” (E-Learning for Kids, 2009). This website will be very helpful in understanding the effectiveness of online learning technologies in enhancing and improving the learning capacity and ability of children studying in the grades of 1-6.
