Emotional Behavior Disorder Casual Factors for Emotional Behavior Disorder Admittedly, the particular causes of emotional disorders remain challenging to the experts. The concerned parties, therefore, depend on the relationship between some casual factors and disability to generate possible sources of the disorders (Cefai & Cooper, 2010). For instance, children exposed to physical abuse have a higher chance of suffering from emotional or behavioral disorder than their peers do. This paper seeks to analyze three casual factors in terms of their identification criteria as casual factors, their impacts, and the possible mitigation measures.

BiologyScholars keep on identifying biological and genetic reasons behind emotional or behavioral disabilities. For instance, research illustrates that a correlation exist between prenatal drugs and childhood emotional or behavioral disorders. Cefai and Cooper (2010) notes that children who have early drug-related problems have their early childhood history marred with prenatal medications that shaped their emotions. Factors such as mood disorders, depression, and schizophrenia seem to have a genetic origin.

The criteria for identification of casual biological factors require parents and those around their children to be observant of the development behaviors of such kids (Grier, 2012). Any deviation in behavior or emotions above the limit needs cautious consideration. Having full knowledge of the possibility of biological factors being part of the cause of emotional or behavioral disorder enables development and use of proper medication to alleviate the condition. Some of the notable biological preventive actions of such emotional disorders include using antidepressants.

Additionally, continued research into the field may bring better preventive ways. FamilyGrier (2012) reasons that the family and surrounding culture may significantly influence an individual’s behavioral disorder. People live in a social setup where family relations, extended or immediate or community, plays a critical role in their early childhood years. These environmental factors shape a person’s growth and development positively or negatively depending on the type of surrounding. Indeed, emotional problems may be a backlash of long-term adverse experiences such family as child abuse, poverty, neglect, unrealistic rules and parental stress.

Poverty in a family and punitive parental disciplinary measures may cause a behavioral disorder (Scanlon & Barnes-Holmes, 2013). Possible criteria for identifying its causes involves looking at the family status of a child then linking it to his performance in school and his interaction with other children. Knowing that family issues are the cause for one’s emotional disorder helps reshape their family experience to solve the problem (Van der Merwe, 2014). SchoolApparently, teachers and the school setups form part of children’s lifetime because they spend more time in school than they do at home.

Therefore, as Scanlon and Barnes-Holmes note teachers have an enormous influence on children hence they can shape their behavior (2013). Teachers actions such as demeaning a student insensitiveness to a learners’ need may make students feel out of place and unwanted. Educators have a role to play in shaping emotional orientation of their scholars. Some of the solutions to the problem include having consistent and realistic school rules, positive school environment, and proper conflict resolution methods at the school, sensitivity and strong identification with such students.
