Admission for University of South Carolina Since my childhood, I’ve been an all-rounder; impatient to explore the endless opportunities created for me. Communicating and interacting with people of diverse backgrounds has always seemed significant to me. And to fulfill my inquisitive nature to communicate with people I have been volunteering for “Alpha Gamma Sigma Community Services” in my neighborhood, which has allowed me to understand and contribute towards the society in a constructive manner.

I am also involved in Tech ministry, Multimedia Ministry and Video Wall in my Church. Doing something for my church is more of an interest to me rather than a responsibility. There, I get an opportunity to interact with people of same beliefs and values. This service has taught me to be patient with everyone, to appreciate others for what they are and also what service I owe to the community. Working in Tech ministry, Video Wall and Multimedia Ministry for the church also encourages working with devotion and enthusiasm.

The people I am working along in the community service have encouraged me to be confident and tolerant of each other shortcoming. In addition to offering volunteer services at the church, I have also managed to be an active member of an Indonesian Club known as Permias. Currently, I am holding the position of secretary in the club. This position has stimulated my interaction and communication skills. With other Indonesian students in the United States, I was auspicious to improve my knowledge on our Indonesian Culture as well.

I was given different positions for every semester in Permias, and Public Relations being my previous field of task. I hope to continue my non-academic activities even as a student of University of South Carolina since the diverse community of students offer many interactive opportunities to its residents.
