Differentiating in response to learning profile Differentiating in response to learning profile The chapter deals with Differentiating in response to student learning profile with the main ideas in the chapter including learner profiles, learning styles, intelligence preferences, culture, gender, and differentiation in terms of teaching possibilities and style for the meeting of the needs of all students. The supporting details for the main points in the chapter include that learning styles stem from difference in learning effectiveness and ensures the circumstances in learning match learning approaches, presenting learners with the appropriate intelligent preferences to augment their ability to learn better.

The other supporting points are that culture has an influence in student learning and that gender influences the way individuals learn and may differ from the gender beliefs on learning by students. On learning profiles, the chapter uses cognitive style where it describes the differences among individuals in processing and organizing of information, learning in different ways by individuals through different learning neural, and the difficulty in the assessment and moderation of learning associated environmental variables.

Guidelines supporting differentiation in learning response, differentiation of process, content, and product based on learning profile, differentiation with synthesis groups and thinking caps, are given and the conclusion is the need for teachers to incorporate differentiation in their classes for augmented effectiveness. The main ways through which the reading supports my professional development include the chapter reinforces my understanding of the differences in learning profiles of students to allow for better teaching delivery.

The third important point is the need for differentiation in teaching to cater for differences specific to each individual. The third important idea is the influence of gender, culture, learning profiles and differentiation requiring teacher student relationship for the skills in learning to profit. The questions raised in the article how then would be the best precise in terms of ensuring the needs of all student learners are met in a class and the most optimal environmental variables that affect learning.

This will ensure the creation of a conducive environment for learning.
