Most importantly, inattentive and withdrawn pupils should not be ignored by the teachers. Instead, teachers can apply redirecting strategies such as addressing the pupil at a close range, keeping eye contact or visual cues to remind him of the acceptable behaviors (Day, 2007).

The penalties to be faced by the pupils must be logical and clear, appropriate, applicable, and can be enforces fairly immediately.
