Learning is a process that makes us better human beings. It is a gift from God and its benefits are to be shared with fellow human beings in the of faith in God. Whatever achievement a person has her/his life is indebted to the favourable circumstances that lead to it. Even though a lot of hard work and dedication is called for from the part of an individual to attain knowledge, the duty to the fellow beings who provided the right circumstances for this should never be forgotten. Moreover, one has to remember those who are not privileged enough to learn from an esteemed educational institution and dedicate time and energy to help them in as any ways as possible to reach their goals in life.

My expectations regarding my learning experiences in Pepperdine scholarly community are focused on my ambition in life to constantly better myself as a human being and to serve others in the name of the almighty. I am eager to be involved in the process of integrating faith and learning that would prepare me to make myself useful to the world. I believe strongly that my psychological and spiritual life will progress boundlessly if I immerse myself in such a learning environment. My bringing up in a pious Christian family has helped me inculcate the basic values of love and compassion from a very young age.

Therefore, I will not have any difficulty to become a part of the community where my learning is guided and led to fruition by faith. I also hope to make use of whatever I gain from my experience to extend my own contributions to the community in which I grew up. I can think of many people who could benefit from my education. I can teach them in my spare time and help them make a living of their own. I can assist children in their learning and day to day life as well, and give them directions for a good life.

I hope to achieve my goals through perseverance. The discipline and nobility that are part of a truly religious life will enable me seek knowledge and use it only for good purpose. I am aware that any kind of knowledge can have its negative effects if not used judiciously. A person who is deeply rooted in her/his faith in God can always trust in the goodness of heart that God provides. I envision my life after education in liberal arts to be enriched with the sensitivity, sensibility and compassion which the course aims at.

If selected for the course, I promise to be a diligent student who does his work systematically and sustain the basic values that are integrated in the learning process. I will contribute my best towards the welfare of the community and work hard towards the betterment of me individual life. I have great dreams regarding the course and realize that my responsibilities to make them come true are also great.
