I was lucky to snatch some of such opportunities during my stay at high school, which facilitated in my academic, as well as, behavioral development. During this period, I was associated with school administration as an intern in which, I had to deliver mail to different school departments, and communicate with school staff. On one hand, this was a simple and petite job; however, this internship allowed me to understand the different operations and processes of office administration, which enhanced my knowledge in an efficient manner. Moreover, I had the opportunity to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. Despite of different cultural and social backgrounds, people were working in different ways; however, for one single objective. This cultural and social diversity enhanced my personality traits that will facilitate me in improving socially, as well as, intellectually in a creative manner. Experience that gained Respect for Intellectual, Social, or Cultural Differences During my sophomore and junior years of high school, students from different cultural and social backgrounds were part of our class, and I had the opportunity to coordinate and interrelate with them during different activities of school. Such interaction allowed me to understand that different individuals are developed in diverse backgrounds, and therefore, have varied personality traits. For instance, family and interrelationships play a significant role; however, some individuals gave significance to individualism. In other words, my stay at high school developed me in such a way that I may be able to consider individuals with respect to their culture, social, and intellectual capacities. I gained respect for cultural and social differences from one of our classmates who was from El Salvador. He represented a non-English native country, which resulted in his inefficiency in spoken English. However, he was good, and even best in some other capacities, such as education, sports, etc. In specific, he was considered the best player of our soccer team. Even though he was incapable of grasping English language, he tried his best to coordinate with us in a usual manner like our other classmates. The language barrier was not able to frustrate him at all, which was one of the major reasons that even after such difficulties, he was not infuriated and irritated, which resulted in my respect for cultural and social differences that are significant strengths of individuals around the globe. Interesting or Amusing Story about Yourself I was lucky to have fascinating friends that were reasons of some of interesting and amusing stories of my life. For instance, my friend and I used to be together, whenever we had to do any work on our cars. Usually, it would take an hour for a specific work; however, we used to end up doing it in three to four hours. For instance, once we had to do interior of our cars, which required only an hour for attractive car interior. However, we were busy in laughing at our different amusing stories for more than an hour, and then we took around thirty minutes to rest, as we were having a pain after laughing for such a long time. After having rest, we again start laughing at our stupidity, and we just passed our time repairing our cars in an amusing manner. Aliens from Another Planet Aliens have always been my fascination due to exciting and mesmerizing stories and events related to it. This question is itself a captivating one, as aliens in my neighborhood will be an exciting experience. In the United States, Subway is one of the most popular eating-out places, and therefore, I would take them to a traditional Subway lunch with all my interesting friends. So that they can also experience the conventional style of Americans that involve respect for cultural and social differences, laughs during lunches and dinners, and care and passion for people in the surroundings. After a welcoming lunch reception to these aliens, I would take them to my high school, in order to show them the place that is responsible for development of academic and emotional maturity of individuals around the globe. I would also try to introduce my teachers, especially my Science faculty to these aliens, as it will help in better understanding of these creatures, and any opportunities for coordination between them. Subsequently, church would be the next step during this alien journey, and I would show them the way we humans interact and pray to our God. It is likely that they would also be having a spiritual relationship with God, and it may facilitate in a stronger relationship with such aliens. Lastly, I would take them to my home to introduce my family members, as family is one of the most significant components of human lives, and it is necessary that such imperative part of our lives should be shared during this journey. During my travelling, I visited a number of historical places, as I am very much interested in the subject of history, specifically, history of World War I. In this regard, I would choose to spend a semester in either Germany or Russia during the Study Abroad Program, as study of history and culture in these historical countries will help in a lively experience of such themes in an effective manner. Being an adventurous person and a Scout, I love to take challenges, travel to tough places, and find new and exciting features of the natures. In other words, the Study Abroad Program will provide me a valuable opportunity to study, as well as, experience the same during such program. On the other hand, it is very imperative that an individual should incorporate his weaknesses in such a way that it may turn into strengths. Similarly, I am very altruistic, which often seems like a weakness in this rational and materialistic world. However, all these strengths and weaknesses have made me a stable and realistic person, who can bring some change in this globe. During these years, I managed my life through effective management of my responsibilities towards family, work, and school activities. Moreover, I have been associated with couple of employment, and worked with different people from diverse backgrounds, which resulted in efficient articulation of my communication skills, which facilitated me in contributing effectively to the Auburn Community.
