With the SIOP model, the teacher has to adhere to a list of fundamental instructional principles that are essential to meet the unique language development needs of the student. Once the principals adhere to the teacher are then free to be creative when designing the delivery of the particular lesson. As the reader proceeds through the book he/she will have many opportunities to try out different methods to supplement, improve and even enhance his/her method of teaching and instruction delivery.
