Essay for an MBA Application It is the era of scarce resources and globalization. The daily increasing size of the population of the earth is straining all its resources to breaking, or to be more precise, exhausting levels. This calls for people who know how to manage these scarce resources and who know how to get the best out of what is given to them. Furthermore, it also requires people who know how to lead the society and the economy towards a steady rise while managing to conserve resources. In other words, the world needs MBA's.
The degree is just so much more than the three words that make it up. It is the complete system of the industry and how things should be run to achieve maximum output from the minimum amount of input. It is funny that most people don't usually realize how important it is to get something perfect and what happens or how much loss can come on a large scale when something is used even a minute amount more than it should be used. I got my lesson to this moral when on one Sunday morning while preparing pancakes for myself, I put too much honey on it, cause the more the better right Wrong! It was horrible. The whole thing tasted like a bee hive and my stomach ached with the heavy feeling of all the pancakes I had eaten just to avoid a scolding from my mom for wasting the food. This led to my stomach being upset so badly that I ended up having an antibiotic for a whole week. And now I hate pancakes. See what I mean
My interest in business started when I actually started studying it. I had selected it because I just loved how everything meshed together so perfectly and how all the different subjects complimented each other so beautifully to give a complete understanding of something which at first looks like something unfathomable. Then I got a chance to do an internship in Frankfurt (main), Germany at a real estate company where I, to my delight, discovered that there is even more to business than old people making theories and us having to just agree to them. For the first time I got a chance to actually apply these theories. This makes doing an MBA the most versatile field ever. You can do an MBA and fit in anywhere in any business because no matter how small it is, it still needs a good backbone!
