Personal ment My interest in engineering s back to my childhood that developed with the curiosity and eagerness for building things, and discovers their mechanism, thus, Electrical Engineering is the theme of my interest and choice. The development of my interest towards engineering came from my father, as he has been my ideal personality in my life and an engineer. The subsequent leading influencer in my life has been al-Farabi who was an Iranian scientist who gained recognition due to having access to his books in English and Farsi language. Moreover, my interests and desires provide me with a transparency with respect to my academic aspirations; therefore, I know how to head my academic career. In the arena of engineering, Electrical Engineering particularly became the unique field of my interest. Moreover, my undergraduate program served me with the opportunity to expose myself to the entire series of courses allied to electrical engineering, which predisposed to strengthen my deep interest in engineering. During the core curriculum, my majors has been embedded system designs and controls system design, although my abilities also increased in the realm of Computer Design and Organization, Microcomputer Systems and several programming languages that take account of Java, C, C++, MATLAB, HTML and Verilog. The undergraduate degree also enhanced my laboratory skills of analyzing, designing, and debugging any hardware system language, and programming EPROMS and microprocessors. The projects that distinguished me from others with reference to my work incorporate Designing and building a 32x32 MIPS CPU that used the Verilog language and Designing building a sound Amplifier. My widespread experiences have developed and enhanced my skills of teaching and communication, and have made me proficient in it. My talent in the areas of mathematics and physics endorsed me in teaching and explaining information and ideas to all age groups so that others can also increase their learning towards these subjects. I have a two-year experience as a math and physics tutor at Bellevue College. Adding on to my short but constructive list of experiences, I am a swim coach since the last two years until the present day. Being a swim coach of kids who mainly belongs to the age group of three to seven years, I have emerged my skills of being patient in addition to my capability of communication. I have been successful in having focus throughout my life, escalated my abilities through my educational background, and prepared myself in all these years for what are now a few steps ahead: my fortune to be a successful electrical engineer. To achieve my dreams, and to make them come true, I have a keen intention to study the program of Ph.D. in the same field, since research in the area of Bio Robotics is my ultimate goal, and I need a much more strong background, which I can acquire from my PhD program. However, my Bachelor degree has only been the corner stone for me to step ahead. My passion has amplified to a great deal from the time when I worked with PhD students on the projects related to research on Bio Robotics. Soon after completing my PhD program, I would like to develop my professional career in the field of Bio Robotics Research. It is the Research and Development that is becoming my forte and strongly accepts as true that I can make a remarkable contribution in this field while making the most from my academic background. My experience in the field of working in research laboratories also makes me competent as I have been working in Bio Robotics research, on Raven. In addition, working with PhD students on two projects has also facilitated me in my learning process in this scope to great extent. Immense uniqueness, innovation, and creativity are the key features that add to my personal characteristics that have made me strong enough to face any sort of challenges. Besides, I am equipped with a steadfast and unyielding willpower to stand by any barrier and overcome with all the hardships. I am also enriched with an enterprising spirit that facilitates me in finding original solutions to the complex and enigmatic problems, due to the reason that I view all the problems as prospective opportunities. I have a confidence and fortitude that I can consummate all the things that I want and desire, as there is nothing called as impossible in this world. Adversity and harsh conditions have made me a strong person from inside and outside and has materialized self-analysis, self-correction, and self-stimulation that has rally round me in my achievements towards success. Personal Effectiveness

One of the most difficult prospects is identifying where your strengths lie and in which new role you would be good at. There are hundreds of skills that you developed over time, but it is even more challenging to combine which tasks you are good at and which ones you enjoy the most. The reconciliation of both will determine your strengths. I am trying to identify my weaknesses and strengths all the time in order to make the most of my career opportunities. Besides, I realize that it is easier to focus on and develop your strengths than trying to eliminate weaknesses. Every time I try to engage in a new activity, I am always naturally worried that I won't have the necessary skills for a new activity or responsibility.

It also helps to define the appropriate development to meet those perceived needs. Scheduling and timing are important but cannot be too regimented.” (Personal Development Planning time management).

Structural-Functional and Symbolic Interactionism Theory as Applied to a Personal Experience

Janina has tried for a US visa a number of times, and every time, she came home disappointed at having been denied. In the structural-functional theory, the US embassy is an institution that functions to screen prospective visitors to their country. Inherent in the structure is inequality in terms of not being able to provide a visa to everyone who applies. Since Janina is one of the unfortunate ones who was never granted a visa in all the times she tried to acquire one, her frustration has created a different meaning for the US embassy. Where before, the US Embassy has symbolized for her a gateway to fulfilling her dreams of visiting the US, her painful denials in being granted a visa has now been instrumental in it being a symbo...

Implications for Personal Investment

The assumption of perfect rationality can be rebutted by the fact that rationality is not the sole driver of human behaviour. On the contrary, our behaviour is contingent upon emotions such as love, fear, pain, and pleasure etc. Human beings only use their intellectual power to achieve or avoid these emotional outcomes (Pompian 2006). Secondly, the assumption of self-interested is also not deemed to be practical because many sociological studies have shown that people are not always self-interested. Had this been the case, then there would not have been a single philanthropist in the world, even people would have avoided negative behaviour such as suicide and alcoholism. The final assumption of perfect information also does not ho...

Reflecting on Personal Life Experiences Utilizing Sociological Perspectives

The experience would touch on my initiation to my very first educational experience and developing my primary group in school.

Secondly, I would reflect on my studies during elementary years in a small exclusive private school in Vietnam. The next phase I consider of great significance in my academic experience is the privilege given me during my 9th grade to 12th-grade studies in a relatively different culture, in Melbourne, Australia.

Finally, a milestone in this journey through life is the recent migration to the United States to complete my higher education with Chemistry as my major in Evergreen Valley College, San Jose, California.

The evolution of sociology could be traced to the development...

Personal Management Framework

The subsequent framework would engender a theoretically determined structure of aims thus bringing up and addressing related issues.

Management functions - planning, leading, organizing and controlling or coordinating – have both a theoretical and conceptual determination and their functional level parameters include such organizational goal-related outcomes (Cleland & Gareis, 2006). For instance, the following process diagram of a personal management framework shows the managerial functions can be more meaningful in an individualized organizational context where the manger’s own capabilities and skills are brought into sharp focus in comparison with the daily and routine functions.

A function...

Uniqueness for Personal Identity

Teleportation is the process of disintegrating the body to make a copy of a person in another place say, for example, Jupiter as a means of travel. In the teleportation experiment, Parfit demonstrated the problem of teleportation when the machine malfunctioned. The machine was not able to destroy the original body and yet a copy was already sent to Mars. So the problem arises of determining who is the real you? This phenomenon of teleportation is bad because it is problematic. It is problematic not only in the sense that the machine malfunctioned that there became two individuals because the original was not destroyed. It is mind-boggling, but we cannot cease to wonder how does the copy thinks? About himself, the universe around h...

Personal Rrofessional Development

Another challenge I faced was time management. I had limited time to study since I worked on a full-time basis. My poor time management skills worsened the matter for me. Indeed, this made me fail in my first presentation and essay despite starting work on it early enough. I had reserved two hours every day for my essay, as opposed to waiting until the last night before the presentation when I would be forced to work on it in a hurry. I also reserved time for my work-related tasks as well as relaxation in order to avoid exhaustion and boredom. However, I still failed. Still, on time management, I found it difficult to balance my time so as to have adequate time for each assignment. This could cause me to take up many tasks at the...

The Way Shared Knowledge Shapes Personal Knowledge

Shared knowledge is a highly systematic and structured knowledge produced by more than one individual7. Much of the shared knowledge is classifiable into diverse areas of knowledge like mathematics, natural sciences, history, philosophy, and others8. Even though shared knowledge relies on the contributions of individuals, it does not rely on the contributions of a particular person9. There are chances for other people to amend, check, and add individual contributions to the existing body of knowledge10. For example, the knowledge necessary for building a computer is a piece of shared knowledge. It is improbable that there is a person who possesses the knowledge for building a computer from scratch rather than assembling a computer...
