Television is an electronic device that enables transmission of signals across a screen in form of moving pictures. It is the successor to radio system which enabled signal transmission in audio form. In modern times the digital television are equipped with the state of the art technology based concepts. Basically television collects pictures and in a rapid movement change those pictures into video stream.There are both negative and positive sides of television. The first is the kind of content being showed on it.

For example, in case of children, not everything shown on television is constructive and can have negative impact on children. A general age group negative of television is the addiction to television sitting. It results in laziness, lethargy (Evra, 2004,p.65). It often prevents the children from spending quality time in outside public and open park fresh air. At times the violence shown on television has negative impact on the viewers minds and actions. Excessive television watching prevents people from their imagination based ideas as it directly feeds them with images.

The positive side of television is its ability to provide information, entertainment, awareness to its viewers. It is a source of connect for the viewers. It enables the viewers getting to know about things that are happening in the world without needing to go out of their lounge and sofa seats.In my opinion televisions are a blessing.
