(2011), other major contributors include global economy, international mass movement of people and business transactions. With this apparent element of cultural diversity, I see the necessity of developing intercultural communication skills. To appreciate differences in culture, there has to be a formal way of communication that is agreeable to the international society. I think that it has the benefit of multiculturalism where there is tolerance for cultures and acceptance of equal societal participation. The benefits of intercultural communication skills only prove that cultural diversity is a good outcome of globalization after all. I, therefore, propose that cultural appreciation and celebration should be supported and promoted.
