The time that I remember the most is when my family and I went on our holiday out of the country. It was to a small island located in the Caribbean, and it was a special moment in my childhood. The setting was remarkable as the waves crashed against the shore while a magnificent sunset occurred daily. There was one restaurant on that island that I shall never forget because of the awesome feeling I got from the delicious food that they served.

I was feeling famished and I couldn’t wait to tuck into the most delicious dinner dish I had ever tasted. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, we noticed the ambiance in this particular restaurant. There was a young lady quietly playing the violin over in the corner, while the flickering lights created a sense of calm over the whole place.
After some time our food was brought out to us; not the main course, just the entrée. As I chose not to order one of these, I had to wait a little bit longer for my food. A Memorable Christmas
...A Memorable Christmas Above the din and clutter of chaos in the room, one could easily pick out the unmistakable voice of Jim Reeves in the background. The bass of his voice, the sound of the cymbals, and the mellow mood around the place added to the authenticity of the occasion. All around the walls, the house was bedecked in bright red and yellow floral allure of Christmas imagery and other accoutrements that complete the picture of the special day. The plastic flowers in the gigantic ceramic flower vase looked so real that one had to touch them just to confirm they were not. Few people had high expectations for the day as most suspected it would be the usual routine of Christian rituals and some little partying to...

About a memorable experience
...experiences never last, and it is always a matter of time before I smile again. Among all the good experiences I have had, there is only one, which will remain embedded in my mind forever. This is one bittersweet, but memorable experience that has in many ways, influenced my life, especially the way I perceive the world today and the things therein. It all started as a joke, and little did I know that this could culminate into a life-changing experience. On this warm summer afternoon, I asked my friends for their opinions about what we would do for my birthday, as the normal house parties had become monotonous, and I wanted a different experience. “How about this time round you be the one giving out gifts? Give gifts to...

Capturing memorable moments
...Capturing Memorable Moments 2. In my opinion, “Ground Zero” and “Crushed Car” by James Nachtwey cannot leave a person untouched by the horror events they describe. Both works of the author are extremely vivid and bright in the way they depict the tragedy that occurred. Both mark the talent and skillfulness of their creator that communicate to the audience through the given pieces of art. Although each work strikes, when given the chance to choose which is the most articulate, I will argue that the “Crushing Car” called the bigger range of emotions. It is more powerful in making one to see the whole picture of what was happening at that moment. To my mind, this is due to the fact that while prose...

Capturing memorable moments
...Capturing Memorable Moments Every life is composed of different moments. Moments are indefinite, extremely short periods, which make up the entire life. Sometime these moments are joyous and at other times, they are poignant or sad. We can capture these moments by transcribing them. Different methods of transcribing are by clicking photos, wring down, and the like. Most of us capture our memorable moments because we want to relive them or recollect them in our vacant time. The recollection of the moments either helps us in expressing our feelings to other people or helps us just to remember our old memories. The author, Bill McKibben, in his work “Year One of the Next Earth,” writes about how the...

Memorable moment
...Memorable Moment The U.S’ September eleven bombing remains my most memorable moment. This may not be the best moments to keep in mind. These attacks are also referred to as the 9/11 attacks. It was coordinated by a series of hijacked airlines and suicide attacks made up of 19 militants. The militants were associated with extremists of Islamic origin under the al-Qaeda group. They were solely targeted to the United States. I remember it as among the deadliest act of terror in American history. These attacks in Washington D.C and New York City led to extreme destruction and deaths. This moment also triggered the main efforts by the U.S government to combat terrorism. 2750 individuals lost their lives in...
