The materials used for cleaning the house to prevent the spread of any possible bacteria-causing diseases and infections pose a health threat, they defeat the purpose of the chore. If from the simplest activities people do from the time they wake up to the moment they sleep they are exposed to harmful chemicals, one should not wonder why even the advent of advanced health, beauty, and cleaning products cannot prevent the rise of numerous and new diseases and illnesses almost every day. 1 A typical day in any home means the use of shampoo, soap, deodorant, tooth gel, mouthwash, lotion, make-up, cologne, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, and several other chemical-containing products that make lives pleasant and comfortable. 2 For example, methylene chloride or (dichloromethane) is found even typical household products such as shoe polish and spot removers. 3 The spot remover that supposedly kills bacteria-causing infections such as molds could have effects on the nervous system and could worsen heart ailments and lung conditions. 4 A few dollars spent on diarrhea caused by molds are better than several thousand dollars spent on treating heart diseases caused by mold-removing chemicals. To top this off, this is not yet looking at those houses located near industrial plants that emit more dangerous chemicals such as arsenic in mines 5 and asbestos in construction sites. 6, 7 The supposed safeties these chemicals bring into the homes are not worth the risks they cause in the end.
People are not without options regarding this matter. Several alternative products could be used and are just as effective while posing fewer dangers. Read More
