Leadership and organization strategies are the umbrellas that summarize the planning, measurement of performance, and a program budget of the European-American business organization. These necessities have proved to be useful in predicting the future of the organization, but it has remained limited in other organizations that lack well-laid strategies, and the leadership of the organization isn’t willing to implement. They are the greatest technical fix that organizational effectiveness is faced in dealing with the workforce. The efforts of the organization human resource department to manage organization daily activity are essential and should be aligned with the organization best practices. The notion of strategies planning emerges as the best option to fill the gap experienced in the organization by overcoming the limitation associated with the workforce. The presences of effective leadership have proven to be the pillar of the European-American organization in forecasting the changes that influence the daily running of the organization. These have led to remarkable changes over the past two decades, the organizations have changed and evolved from traditional personal management to the most recent human resource management. These changes have led to the implementation of new ways the organization manages its workforce. Based on this development, human resource department have identified and analyze the means and method of governing the organization workforce in accordance with the organization’s goals and aims. Also, it has drawn potential role that which personal managers should be aware of. This report presents an integral analysis of leadership and organization strategies in an effort to make the necessary and important connection for the 2020 workforce plan at the European-American business organization. The results of the report are the outline foundation of strategic planning.

  • Introduction

The introduction of new technologies in the organizations has resulted in the change in the role of the human resource managers. It’s the responsibility of human resource managers to lead the organization in implementing and tapping workforce in order to attain 2020 strategy. According to Hirst, P. & Thompson, G. (1994), the globalized economy has made every organization to have the latest computers and software which can identify products, but they can’t have the same people. In every organization, the workforce comprises of unique individuals who makes human resource managers to mesh them with a various background that aligns the vision and goals of the organization. This helps the organization to create a merger that will help to accomplish the objectives of the individual workforce and the organization.

The European-American organization strategy represents the appropriate choices that are implemented to ensure the organization’s success is ensured. The leadership of the organization is about the transformation of the organization from a set of its own vision, values, culture, climate and a structured system to achieve workforce 2020 strategic planning. In doing so, the organizational leadership establishes greater clarity and makes stronger connections that will expand the leadership repertoire and help the organization to its well-being. At the European-American organization, strategic leadership, and good operational leadership ensures the success of the organization. They utilize different skills and approaches that ensure that the vision and goals of the organization are attained. In order to attain the workforce 2020, the leadership of European-American organization utilizes;

Common vision, goals, values and overlapping interest are the foundation of the partnership between the organization leadership and its workforce. The security and prosperity among the stakeholders have increasingly grown to an independent organization. Both the leadership and workforce experience common challenges including a range of economic concerns as well as the coping up with the new technological measures. At the European-American organization, effect such as open and free market, open societies and human rights gave proven to be the proponents of democracy in its running.

The activities of the European-American organization frequently involves common issues experienced in any business organization, including security, economic and workforce relation issues. The leaderships always interact with the workers and stakeholders to discuss a variety of issues. In the course of the discussion, members choose to concentrate on the cooperation and terms of benefits experienced in the organization. Generally, the customer services of the organization acknowledge and respect the diversity of the customers which greatly give an opportunity to attract more customers and retain the diverse customers which in turn build better rapport and increase the satisfaction of the customers in the organization, (Humphreys, 2004).

The emergence of new communication technologies has changed the way workforces interact at the European-American business organization. It has helped in speeding up the process of decision making among all the groups in the organization. Technologies such as the internet have made it easy to deploy information as they speed up, and they cost less. The organization relies on communication among its workforce at all the levels to decide and help to implement the goals and vision. The leadership makes a decision by collecting the views of the employees and analyzes them through communication modes. The organization uses the online analytic process to make the exchange and flow of information be easy within its internal. The organization has fostered its communication to ensure effective productivity within the organization. Furthermore, the organization has trained and equips its workforce to successes in various communication technological tools such as video conferences, enabled Bluetooth printers, a remote database, apps, and computers, ("TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY", 2003).

In order to succeed in its communication strategies, the organization has implemented some of the tools such as; online transaction processing or operational databases ensure quick information process in the organization. This tool helps in dealing with the formal and informal objectives of the organization. The process involves gathering input and processing them internally; online analytic processing helps in quick decision making which ensures the organization achieves its goals, and the decision-making process is faster. The process involves collecting views and analyzing them such as reading, asking a question and asking about the competitors. The process helps in manipulating information that supports decision making; decentralized computing is the split computing powers of the organization and located in the functional business that acknowledges workers. The employees in the organization access the shared information through the process of decentralized computing. It has proven to be less expensive and more effective in transforming information.

Instant messaging services help the organization in the delivery of information faster than the emails. The intended information reaches the phones of the employees, and the leadership can assign them with whatever work needed to be done without wasting time. These models include Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp and other messaging apps and emails help the organization to communicate globally within the organization. The organization has customized emails which address the issues of email communication. The email is hosted under the organization domain.

  • Future Trends of the Organization

The trends for the 2020 workforce plans in the United States of America ensure that it identify the economic drivers that will shape the future of organizations inclusive of the European-American organization. By 2020, the organization will need to transform and adapt to an increasingly polarized world of the greater channels of fragmentation, growth, and organization footprints that involve the leadership of the organization. Additionally, the organization will have to adapt and cope with the increase in fixed-income customers, and the new customers that follow the organization running via social media. To ensure the strategy for 2020 implementation, the organization will have to ensure that it reach the total value chain, competing on a global scale, managing database security and privacy, managing a diverse workforce and customer diversity.

America is poised to continue as the powerhouse of the economy worldwide. The country is poised to experienced changes in its economy such as the interest rates will hike, but the central bank is signaling that the economy will be strong enough to manage the gradual move in the interest rates. There are several economic trends that the country is monitoring and expect to counter them in order to meet the interest of the citizens.

These trends include; GDP growth rate- the key contributor to the growth rate, is expected to be the consumer who will amount to approximately 70 percent of the United States of America economic growth. The customers will spend more wage gain, and job continues to rise. Furthermore, the sale of cars and trucks is expected to grow; inflation- the prices of the commodities are expected to sound good to the consumers, these will reveal a lack of demand for the overall economy. The rise in demand results in an increase in price and reflects in the economy activity. The forces that will drive an increase in demand are the technology and oversupply of labor force worldwide and labor market- the employment picture is expected to improve, and the hiring is expected to remain relatively strong. The jobs will increase thus increasing the wages and improving the economy of the country, (Hirst & Thompson, 1994).

4.1.1 Impact of the Economy on Organization

The organization is expected to experience several changes in new trends towards the realization of 2020 workforce. The organization will be hiking its rate interest in reaction to what the central bank does and a stronger economy. Generally, the increases are expected to be minimal. These rates will not have a meaningful negative impact on the economy of the organization. The changes are expected to move slow and at a deliberate pace to accommodate the vision and goals of the company.

In the environment, the domestic qualities will generate positive impact to the organization which will be far less than the past years. These will act as the main function of the increased corporate earnings. The stock investors will remain in place and ensure equality and selective distribution of its resources. These will be implemented to the international spectrum to ensure the economic improvement of the organization. Asset allocation and diversification will remain important for the long-term investors. Additionally, the labor force will change to match the new technological implementation that is in place.

The social trends are evolving faster than ever; this can be attributed to a breakthrough in technology and communication. The organization is expected to experience overwhelming changes in the way employees socialize. The social impact will help attract and delight the donors in investing in the organization. The use of social media has helped in predicting and jump start latest techniques of fundraising, communication, and decision-making in the organization. These trends in social include non-negotiable designs of mobiles, proliferation of peer-to-peer funding, investment in the more non-profit business, use of gaming tools to get in touch, collaboration and non-competitive enhancement, (Gordon, 1995).

4.2.1 Impact of Social Trends to Organization

Social trends are poised to have a major impact on day to day running of the organization. This impact will be due to the development of new technological equipment such as advanced computers, laptops, and mobile phones. The use of advanced technology plays a major role in the communication within the organization and globally. The decision making of the organization will be fast and effective. Furthermore, it will be cheap to share information within the organization. Socialization will result in robust growth in the productivity of the organization which will lead to overall increase in the organization economy. Nevertheless, socialization may lead to the decrease in the willingness of workers to tackle and address arising issues. These will be addressed by effective leaderships that are ready to guide the employees in order to attain the goals and vision of the organization.

    • Demographic Trends

The future of the economy is widely determined by the evolving demographics. Understanding the population age group is crucial for the businesses and investors. The population growth is used as the means and source of the rising domestic demands in any organization. In demographic trends, the country must utilize the young as the workforce to drive the economy higher by allowing them to access jobs. These trends expected in demographic include; raise in old dependent ratio will mean that the there is weak fertility, and the number of old workers will drop. Open migration policy can be used to counter such trends. Hardship in exploiting demographic dividend is experienced when the child dependency drops and the working groups rise. These will greatly affect the productivity of the organization as it will lack its usual workforce. Also, the organization will be caught up in setting up proper financial infrastructure and social; security for the elderly workers.

4.4 Workforce Parameters

As the workforce becomes globalized, the product of the economy, political technologies, and social forces will determine the human capital contribution to the organization, (Wendling, 2010). The characteristics of the expected workforce in America include the old, more gender and ethnically diverse workforce. These will increase interconnection between the workers. The country of origin will no longer dictate labor market as long as they are skilled, educated, and equipped to manage the task, the communication channels will be used which allow workers to collaborate and interact across the national borders and the increased global connectivity will allow the workers to frequently to new places for jobs, (Flores, 2011).

4.4.1 Impact of Workforce Parameter to Organization

The workforce parameter will have a direct impact on the organization through the employment of skilled, educated and equipped managers to run the day to day activity of the organization. These will include all the set of the workers ranging from the temporary, remote, elderly, youth and gender diversity. The workforce will be boosted by the presence of new technologies will enhance communication within the organization and globally. Frequent movement and transfer of the workers will be easy as the workers will find it easy to move to new places and adapt quickly.

5. General Trends that Impact the Organization Leadership

Leadership development in an organization is one of the most sought topics though little is done to follow it. Leadership is the main source that identifies critical trends that drive the development of the organization and shape the productivity. They have a higher impact in addressing the competitive business world. As outlined by Klat-Smith, A. (2005), the trends that impact organization leadership include; organization leadership must prioritize its investment- these can be attained by effective leadership corporation, and government agencies. The risk factors that may arise in an organization will be mitigated. Various and ongoing application of the leadership is essential by applying high-impact leadership such as leadership council to motivate and engage the development of talent within the organization; creation of implementation that comprise leadership strategies and development. These can be done by use of proper strategies and implementation of the programs. These helps in defining the strategies of the organization such as the skills, behavior, and capabilities of the workers; and leadership competence is necessary for the organization to ensure that competitive business world is enhanced. Leadership competitive must be renewed from the traditional leadership to the evolving leadership to accommodate the changing global business competitive. The leadership competence can be shaped by the need for innovative and creative approaches in doing and managing the business, use of agile and flexible leadership in the organization, global competition, diverse employee needs and management of people. Furthermore, globalized leadership promotes the modified business plans to expand internationally. These will intensify the working relation among the workers as the leaders will have a global perspective of the organization and are willing to embrace cultural diversity and differences and embracing technology is the savvy for the rapid development of the organization as it facilitates the communication between the leaders and the employees. Technology will play a major role in dealing with challenges within the organization, ("TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY", 2003).

6. The concept applicable in the organization

Leadership and management strategies are necessary for the organization to develop and implement the plans that encompass the goals and objectives of the organization. The process is continuous and changes as the organization objectives and goals evolve. The organization engages in strategic planning to ensure that they adapt to the trends and external changes like globalization. The key concepts applicable in the organization include;

  • Diversity management- diversity management is key to the growth of the organization in today’s competitive global marketplace. At the European-American business organization, we embrace diversity which has enabled the organization to seek its place in the global market. The organization treats the employees with the greatest authenticity needed. Also, the organization ensures that effective time management of the organization goals and vision is attained.
  • Leadership models- these involve the grooming of new leaders in an organization. The organization uses all the available channels to champion for the future leaders by promoting decision-making at all levels and enhancing promoting and nurturing new leaders in order to grow into future leaders.
  • Ethics- every organization has its own ethical values. At the European-American business organization, business ethics are enhanced to promote the relationship between the leaders, workers, customers, and stakeholders. Ethical values ensure that organization productivity is maintained and attract new customers and investors.
  • Decision-making models- the decision of the organization is necessary for the growth and development of the organization. The organization uses the new technology methods to embrace the decision of every employee, and the leadership of the organization implements them in accordance with the views and facts raised by the workers.
  • Problem-solving- the presence of effective management and leadership in an organization ensures that the challenges and problems are solved internally. Leadership ensures that it involve the employees in solving arising issues that may derail the development and growth of the organization.
  • Conflict management process- the management of conflict among the leaders and employees is attained by the good relation among the employees. Furthermore, the presence of new and advanced technological channels helps in the management of conflicts that may arise in the organization.

The new form of organization management requires the leaderships that are geared toward the organizational receptive, adaptability and generative which is always focused on meeting the customers and stakeholders needs. The recommendation that requires the organization to achieve these goals includes; strong employee involvement- the input of the organization starts with the internal management. These ensure that the organizational stakeholder’s need is met with the needed demand. Furthermore, it improves the working relationship between the employees and the leadership of the organization.

Organic nature of the organization- the organization should have fewer rules and regulation that will help in the always changing forms of organization management; authority based capability- it ensures that the organization planning remains at the end to end strategic plans; alliances- the organization should take advantage of the economic scale such as collaboration, network, and mergers; teamwork- shared activities is essential for the growth of the organization. It also improves the working relationship of the employees; decentralized organization enhances the management of the organization resulting in an exchange of feedbacks and providing services and products in an effective manner; mindfulness and changes in the environment- give the organization to prioritize and inquire on new experience and develop the learning activity in an organization and learning organization- the organization's leadership and employees should be ready to learn new and implement new strategies involved in running the organization.

Successful leadership and organization strategies ensure that the workforce 2020 is attained and implemented according to the goals and management of the organization. The leadership of the European-American business organization has two tools to ensure that the goals and vision are attained, these include, strategic leadership and the organization culture. The emergence of new technological tools has ensured that the goals and vision of the organization are attained. These can boost the communication of the organization and influence the groups toward the achievement of the goals. The report also focused on the expanded indices that include the trends that are expected in the United States of America. The trends will have an impact on the economic, social and technological organization of the business. These will include the advance communication, customer diversity, workforce diversity, demographic trends and the workforce parameter which will affect the running of the organization directly. In order to counter the organizational challenges, the leadership must ensure that diversity management, ethical values, decision making, leadership channels, problem-solving and conflict management are integrated into the running of the organization to promote the relationship between the leaders, employees, customers and the stakeholders. The recommendation that can be approached by the organization includes teamwork; employee involvement decentralized organization and alliances or collaboration that ensures that the vision 2020 workforce plan is attained.
