This will help to carry out the work in a better way and will thereby help to improve the entire mechanism through which different work is being carried out. Legal responsibility of the employer with regard to safety It is the duty of the employer to undertake measures which is aimed towards ensuring safety of the employees. The employer needs to undertake different steps and bring about the required change in behaviour of employees. Some of the legal responsibilities which the employer has to thereby ensure are Ensure proper orientation, training and supervision on employees so that they are able to understand the work practices with regard to safety of employees. The employer has to undertake the role of ensuring that the employees abide with the different safety requirements and carry out the required process every time (WHS, 2015) Have a regular process of consultation with the employees so that changes can be made to the safety arrangements and it can be improved so that the chances of mishaps and accidents are reduced. Involving employees in the process will help to gather better information and feedback through which the work place safety arrangements can be improved and safety of employees can be better understood. Provide the employees with personal protective equipment and train them regarding the use of the equipment. This will help to ensure that the employees remain safe and are able to use the protective equipment in the best possible manner. This will help to reduce accidents and ensure that the employees are better equipped with the different equipments which will help to keep them safe (WHS, 2015) Providing adequate facilities so that the welfare of the employees can be looked at. This would require having suitable toilet facilities, risk assessments and procedures and process so that the overall wellbeing of the employees is looked at. This will help the employees to be mentally satisfied and will thereby be able to contribute positively towards the organizational goals and ensure the safety of different people in the working arena Ensure that the different requirements of the employee with regard to NSW Work Health & Safety Act, 2011 are fulfilled. This will help the employer to meet all the legal requirements with regard to safety of employees and will provide the required directives through which better training can be provided so that safety aspect of employees is considered. Look towards having a safe and healthy work environment so that the employees can work freely and are able to reduce the chances of mishaps. This will require proper equipments, movement area, safety equipments and other protective gear along with training so that employees feel safe. This will help to protect the employees and will act as a medium through which the overall process and impetus that safety has on employees will be looked and understood thereby garnering an opportunity of ensuring safety of employees. Having proper mechanism aimed at transportation of materials, handling and storage of materials so that the chances of accidents is reduced. This will help the employees to be able to work in a predetermined manner and will be able to yield effectiveness and reduce the overall risk. This process will also help to reduce accidents and garner a safety environment where the different facets associated with the safety of employee is being looked at. Ensure that the different safety arrangements are met and have proper safety arrangements as per the OHS requirements Using different colours, codes, posters and labels so that different potential hazards can be highlighted and employees become aware regarding the manner they need to act so that they can be protected against different hazards (WHS, 2015) Ensure that the employees are aware about their rights and duties and responsibilities with regard to the safety of employees and provide them the required information so that decisions taken based on it is sound Have proper records of employees with regard to safety, past medical research and other details so that in case of a mishap the same can be used and proper medication can be provided to the employees so that the overall risk for the employees is reduced and proper medication is provided. Safety Culture Safety is one of the most important part of business processes as improper safety measures can result in employee turnover, impact the brand image and could even lead towards legal actions (Cheyne, Cox, Oliver & Tomas, 2008). This requires development of policies which are aimed towards develop a safety culture within the organization so that both the employer and the employee understand their legal responsibilities and look at ensuing that safety culture is developed within the organization. Safety culture is a process which is aimed towards directing the attitudes, competencies and behavior of a person so that health and safety related programs can be developed (Fuller, 2009). It looks towards bringing about a complete change in the attitude of people so that people look at developing a culture which is aimed towards reducing accidents and using the different protective equipments so that accidents can be reduced. Safety culture looks towards directing the manner in which both the employer and the employee needs to carry out their responsibilities which will help to bring about a change in the present culture and develop a mechanism which will be aimed towards protecting human lives and having steps in action through which change in behavior can be ensured. Identifying and developing the required safety culture is very important especially in Sopranos as the culture of the environment is such that employees are care free and don’t look to use the different protective equipment and safety measures. The employer has understood the risk which the business is facing as there is a very likelihood of an accident which might even risk the life of employees (DePasquale & Geller, 2009). The employers knows the same and has provided the required equipments and safety measures and are further willing to move ahead with making people understand the manner they need to act but the employees are not taking the issue seriously and could thereby have an impact on the overall performance and increase the risk. This requires that the business looks towards developing safety culture within the organization and bring about the required change in the attitude and behavior of employees so that they consider safety and important aspect of the working environment and look towards developing the required dimensions through which business will be able to work on the required areas. The process of safety culture which Sopranos need to look and use is that it needs to educate the employees and have safety regulations in place which binds both the employer and the employees and make them carry out their duties and roles in a positive manner. This will have a positive impact on the manner safety culture is being developed within the organization and will lead towards maximizing the manner in which different dimensions are being used at (Flin, Mearns, O’Connor & Bryden, 2000). This will bring about the required change and will help to develop the required dimensions through which the business will be able to develop safety culture and ensure that the overall risk for the employees and the business gets reduced. Manner in which safety culture can improve behaviour of employee Safety culture can have a positive impact on the behaviour of employees and will help to determine the different dimensions through which the risk reduces and chances of mishap are few. Safety culture if incorporated within Sopranos will help to bring about a change in the attitude of employees and will reduce the risk thereby helping the business. The business as a result can witness the following changes in the behavior of employees Creating a safety culture within the organization will help employees to understand the need and importance of safety in the working environment. Employees will realize the manner in which has safety culture will protect them and safeguard against different risk (Griffin & Neal, 2000). This will bring about the required change in the behaviour of individuals and ensure that employees take the required steps which will protect them and have an environment which is safer Safety culture will also help the employees to understand the legal role and responsibilities of the employee and employer. This will make the employees realize the different steps which both the employer and employee have to undertake while undergoing safety measures (Glendon & Stanton, 2000). Having the required knowledge and education will make the employees understand and will bring about a change in their behaviour which will thereby help to foster safety culture and look towards protecting the employees from different risk Safety culture can also make the employees more demanding as they can identify the different areas and needs of the business with regard to safety. They can thereby assist the employer and the organization to have different safety arrangements in place. This will reduce the level of risk for the employees and garner a process through which the organization will be better placed and will be able to work in a manner through which different needs of safety are looked at Brining about a change in the perception and attitude of people and highlighting the important of safety culture will also help to adopt different OHS arrangements so that the overall framework which is aimed at protecting employees will be considered (Cox & Cheyne, 2000). This will thereby help to bring about the required change and dimensions through which safety culture will be developed and the manner in which employees need to work and respond in the working culture has to be examined so that proper working culture is ensured Safety culture will further look at determining the process and mechanism through which different work areas need to be considered. This will help to develop the required process, have equipments and training program which will educate the employees and reduce the chances of mishap. This would thereby improve the manner in which work is carried out within the organization and will help to gain operational efficiency so that the manner in which employees work is improved and people are able to understand their roles and responsibilities so that working is adhered in a proper way. Recommendations Sopranos to deal with the issue related to safety arrangements and other important area which will protect the employees need to consider at the following options so that better planning and process is garnered. Some of the important recommendations which Sopranos need to consider are as Sopranos need to bring about a change in the culture of employees and make them realize the need and importance of being safe while working. This can be achieved to a large degree by adopting a safety culture which will help to bring about the required changes in the attitude and behavior of employees. Safety culture will help the employees realize both their legal obligations and will ensure that the employer provides the different safety arrangements. Safety culture will also look to ensure that the employees understand the need and importance of working in a safe culture and will bring the required changes in the care free attitude of employees (Cheyne, Tomas, Cox & Oliver, 2009). This will make employees more responsible and will help them to act in a manner through which accidents will be controlled and reduced. This will help to foster a culture which is more responsive and will help the employees to work in an environment which looks at the safety arrangements. Sopranos need to make the employees understand the need and importance of using protective equipments, following the safety standards and abiding with the different safety requirements. To achieve it Sopranos might also look to have impose different punishments for employees not following the required dimensions. It is imperative that the process will be aimed towards determining the different focus area and developing parameters based on which employees are willing to change. Imposing penalties will help to bring a change in the care free attitude of employees and will direct people to be able to transform the manner in which they work (Cox, Tomas, Cheyne & Oliver, 1998). Making it compulsory for employees to ensure that the different safety arrangements are followed will help to reduce accidents and will result in having a positive impact on the manner different decisions are taken Sopranos have to look towards making it compulsory for employees to undergo the required training program. This program needs to focus on the need and importance of safety arrangements, the manner in which employees need to respond in case of a mishap, the manner in which the different equipments have to be used and other measures which will help the employees to safeguard themselves against risk. The process of training needs to be both on the off the job training so that people are able to understand the actual ground realities and based on it is able to bring the required change in the behavior of employees (Clarke, 2008). This process has to be matched by ensuring that the training program is regularly done and done by experts so that each and individual employees understand it and is able to bring about the required changes in their behavior which will help to improve performance and reduce the level of risk Sopranos has to further look towards adopting OHS standards which is applicable for them and has to ensure that it is used within the organization in the most productive manner. Having a process through which Sopranos will be able to ensure that a process has been used which looks at international standard adoption will improve the manner in which working is carried out (Chokkar, 2007). The application and use of OHS will help to ensure that the process shapes the manner in which different decisions are taken and will look towards safety of people in a more positive manner. Having necessary equipments, process and things in place so that people are able to understand the manner in which they need to use those. This will help to ensure that the process helps employees to understand the manner in which different things will be used and will help them to understand the safety needs. This will also provide the employees with the required different safety needs and will transform the manner in which different decisions are taken (Cameron & Duff, 2000). Also using marks, posters, colors and designs will help to realize the different areas and dimensions which employees need to look at and ensure safety of employees. This will lead towards bringing about the required change in the behavior of people and will help to ensure better safety measures. Conclusion The paper shows the manner in which Sopranos need to realize the different safety needs which they need to provide to the employees. The employer will have to ensure that they carry out their legal duties and obligations with regard to safety of employees so that a process ensures through which safety of employees will be adhered. Further, the process will have to look towards ensuring that a safety culture is developed within the organization as it will help to bring about the required change in the behavior of employees so employees and realize the need and importance of safety culture. The different recommendations which Sopranos need to follow will be aimed towards ensuring that safety culture is incorporated within Sopranos. This has to be matched by proper training and mechanism which will help employees to be able to work in the required dimensions. The process will further look towards finding out the manner in which Sopranos need to look at developing ways which will be aimed at determining the different dimensions through which overall safety culture is developed. This will help to control accidents and will provide a mechanism through which the overall working mechanism is better achieved and the business is able to deliver superior performance which will be aimed towards safety of employees.
