Department 1: Scholarship Department

Job Assignment 1: Organizing a meeting with the manager to discuss the proffered strategy for Enrollment
Objectives
The change in managing teams was aimed at demonstrating the ability to plan and organisms tasks within the team and create and effective information sharing channel.
Allocation Time: 1 hour each day for a week
Reflection
Throughout the provisioning of the department’s operation it was realized that the enrollment strategy in place was ineffective in selecting the students that had qualified for the scholarship position. The managers stressed the importance of the having a proffered and proficient enrollment strategy that adequately addresses all pertinent issues that relate to the firm’s strategic approach to enrollment. In order to make the process a success it was important to incorporate effective approach to management to the teams. Organizing team management is proffered given the dynamic involved throughout the process.
The department’s previous strategy was divided into three teams within the UAE students, which had diverse functions within the organizational approach. The differentiation into three groups was unwarranted and it potentially gave way for inefficient registration process. The three groups include the academic team, finance team and the support team. Each team has specific functions that were outlined and had different operational operation within the department.
Academic team
The academic team plays an indispensable role in the student registration process. Moreover, they were primarily involved in the inclusion of important information pertaining the student’s information. Evidently, the team was tasked with briefing an introductory information pertaining the scholarship objectives and affiliated outcomes. Evidently, this provides the applicant with important information pertaining to the contract. It is important, however, for the applicants to understand the terms and condition of the contract among other variables. Consequently, the team collectedvital information including security clearance, personal information and security clearance. Upon completion of the exercise the students are requested to fill out the forms and agree to the contract. Thereafter the applicants are enrolled in the system, where an ADNOC ID is generated.
Finance Team
The team was involved in the inclusion if the payment for the enrolled student’s, as well as, address financial issues pertaining the student’s tenure.
Support/Problem Solving Team
The support team is tasked with solving academic problems, and advising the students on the appropriate approach. Tentatively, they answer queries through emails and received phone calls.
New Strategy
The new strategy included the consolidation of the three teams into one functional team that handle a specific number of students. This approach is efficient in managing tasks and data pertaining the application. It was a temporary mitigating approach to the problem.

SWOT Analysis
Strength
As a successful company the international company has access to a variety of resources that are beneficial to the people it serves. Through the resources it is able to exploit untapped resources at multidimensional constructs. Given that the Abu Dhabi’s government own a considerable amount of shares in the company, it has unrivalled access to the exploration acreage. ADNOC can therefore exploit a wide area coverage for the access of oil and gas reserves. ADNOC can therefore produce large amount of oil and gas, hence, it can favorably satisfy the market and compete with other international markets.
ADNOC has a well established partnership with IOCs(Indian Oil Company). Through such partnerships the company can significantly share available resources hence reduces the cost incurred in development projects. One such advantage has been realized through the development of JV development projects. It supplements the company’s exploitative power. This not only improves its profitability but directly contributes to the company’s international relation.
The company has owns a substantial share of the downstream oil segment. Owning such shares implies that the company can increase its exploitation coverage area. Additionally, it enhances the downstream petchems and gas diversification.
Through a competitive workforce the company is able to dispense its functions and programs in the most proffered way. The Adnoc scholar department, is equipped with a proficient management system that overseas appropriate integration competitive scholarship strategies. Evidently, it offers a competitive and learning environment, where interns and prospective employees can improve their skills. Through an interactive communication platform, the managers are able to the guide interns and present real case situation in conforming toeducational knowledge. Prospective employees and interns have an increased propensity to advance in gaining appropriate knowledge.
Weaknesses
The company is compounded by Limited Operational and financial freedom, given the restriction in the freedom of concession articulated under the Abu Dhabi’s regulations.
Tentatively, the company is characterized by some cost and efficiency disadvantages. Some production sites have reduced the company is compel to dispense limited operational efficiency in the region. As such, it not only affects the company’s production capacity but reduced the efficiency of exploitation in this areas.
Opportunities
There is a number of untapped resources in the upstream production. These exploitation annexes potential oil reserves that cam otherwise boost ADNOC production capacities. Increased production capacity implies that the company would be subject to increased revenues. In Support of the refined products in the domestic demand has grown considerably over the years. This has been facilitates by the increased demand for cleaner fuels and chemical in the Middle East.
Oil demand is predicted to continually increase over the years despite the sharp increase in pricing (Citation). There are increased sources for the demand of oil. As countries are more globalized and developed so does the demand for oil products increase. Presently, china and India have become big players of industrialized countries (Koch, 2014). The company ought to increase its exploitation capacity.
Threats
Changes in OPEC energy Policy
As opposed to its traditional approach, OPEC will not cut its production if the prices fall as low as $ 20 per barrel, suggesting the dramatic shift that will have far reaching implication for the energy industry. Evidently, Saudi oil Prime minister has dismissed traditional policy of increased pricing hence increasing competition among the producers of oil (Commodities, 2014). Tentatively, a lack of medium term oil output has incapacitated its production.
